I know the cakes at secret recipe are very sinful but I just cannot keep myself away from it. I tried the Chocolate Strawberry and I am totally addicted to it. It is one of my favourite cake from secret recipe! The chocolate sponge cake was so rich in chocolate flavor. it was so moist and completely melts in your mouth. It was not too sweet as well. the strawberries were pretty large in size. There was also strawberry topping on top of the cake, it totally completes the cake!

Basil Chicken rice Smile Feb 04, 2013

this time round i decided to try the Basil Chicken rice. As the place was pretty crowded and I could not find a seat, i decided to take away my food. the lady was kind enough not to charge me any extra take away charges so i only paid $5.80 for my basil chicken. I found it really good, the hotness was just right. the chicken was minced very finely and every piece was well coated with the basil sauce. there was a small piece of omelette inside too.

I was pretty surprised to see that 51 soya bean had opened at causeway point. there are so many changes in the stalls at causeway point. i ordered the almond flavour bean curd. it cost me $1.80. i found it pretty reasonable for such a delicious dessert. the bean curd was really smooth and simply melted in my mouth, it was not too sweet. i think it is the key aspect for the bean curd cos too sweet bean curds can turn you off.

My girlfriend knowing that my parents love durian, ordered a box of durian tarts for us for Chinese New Year. It was pretty cool cos i have never seen durian tarts in the market before. we decided to open and try it. I must say that it was really good. the pastry is really soft and crumbles easily in your mouth. the durian paste is wrapped up in the pastry. it was not too sweet and went well with the pastry.

Crispy Arrow Head Smile Feb 04, 2013

I like the concept of this stall, though it is located in a shopping mall, the size of the shop is very big. I bought a container of my favourite Crispy Arrow Head. This chips in this container does look like potato chips but it does not have the potato taste. Unlike the normal potato chips, it was not loaded with salt and seasoning. it taste a little salty on its own. the texture is not like those potato chips, it does not break so easily like potato chips. i guess it is slightly harder. so glad to have it for Chinese New Year.
