Ordered a grilled chicken salad at Swensen's for lunch. What impresses me was their service speed. In 5 minutes from ordering, they were ready to deliver the food.

However, the salad tasted all right only. The vegetable they used tasted bitter, I did not like it. It was served with thousand island dressing which was kind of boring. The grilled chicken that came along with the salad had a bit of the fridge taste and it was not fantastic.

Overall, it was just a normal tasting salad with no wow factor.

When I saw the McDonalds Ad that they were introducing some local flavoured Durian McFlurry, I was over the moon.

I like the quality of the vanilla ice cream in McD vs the price, I always get satisfied with a serving of McFlurry.

When I tasted Durian McFlurry, I was utterly disappointed. It must be the most disgusting thing they ever served there! How can they put in some syrup and cornflakes and call it Durian McFlurry?

There was no smell of durian. The cornflakes were so wrong. It was an insult. To make it worse, they charged $2.80.. a few cents more that Oreo..

Totally disgusting and disappointing.

Ordered a sirloin steak with onion sauce for us today.

Frankly I am very disappointed with the quality and taste of food served in Jack's Place. For a big and established name like theirs, I hope for awesome tasting steak. Every time I visit, I get disappointed every time.

For set lunch, sirloin steak is priced at $13.80. It comes with soup of the day, dessert coffee/ tea. But when you order from ala carte, steak costs $20 and above.

The sauce and the taste is really nothing special. The beef is pretty tender yes, but the taste is really nothing to shout about. I look forward to good steak for a brand that call themselves a steak house.

Visited em by the river, I know that it's owned by the emerald group folks and their 3 bars serves very good food.
Was looking forward to try out em by the river because they have great ambience at a nice up class area.

Ordered a Grilled Chicken Breast with Rosemary creme sauce. The taste was just not so right. The chicken was dry, the sauce was not fantastic.

Dessert was tiramisu, the portion seems generous, but the taste was really far from ordinary.

To make things worse, the dirty martini I ordered was also not to my liking. It was salty and tasted weird.

The only thing I liked about this place was the decoration and the mood of the place. Other than that..
perhaps I should check out their brunch menu instead, had heard better reviews of the brunch. till then..

After a day of shopping, we were tired and famished and dying for good food.
So we walked into a this pretty looking shop

Scanned through the menu and quickly ordered mac & cheese and mushroom swiss burger.

The food presentation was not too bad.
Unfortunately the taste of the food was no where good. It was just not up to standard.

To make the whole experience worse, I made a feedback while paying. The staff simply shrugged it off and gave us a condescending look.

I will never patronise them again and if you are considering a meal there, I hope you think twice!
