super sour lemon Smile Nov 05, 2013

You will feel happy walking into this shop. Seeing all sorts of sweets in different colors and design. They allowed sampling of various flavors, fruity ones mostly.

In the end I decided on Super Sour Lemon.

The hard candy was indeed super sour. And the sour level lasted all the way till you finished the sweet. I found it very amazing because I was expecting the sourness to only last for a few seconds.

This probably means that the quality of the candy is really good.

Cheeese Smile Nov 05, 2013

Previously a wine shop retailing affordable french wine. they have now a new concept offering simple home cooked french food. The environment is very laid back and cozy.

I ordered a long black. It's a very small cup at $3. But the coffee was smooth and fragrant. Not bad at all.

I also ordered a piece of Brie with herbs to share with my friends. This quality cheese is imported from france. It's rich and creamy. It tasted so good you just want to eat it non stop. It's great on its own and also as a bread spread.
it's inexpensive. $6 for quite a big piece.

I am definitely coming back again to try the other things on their menu!

ayam penyet Smile Sep 30, 2013

Felt like something sinful for lunch

Ordered myself an ayam penyet. The smashed chicken tasted really good. The skin was crispy.
The tofu that was deep fried also had crispy skin and soft tofu meat within. Feels good eating it.
The chilli was a bit too spicy for me but I have to say the chilli is very nice as well.

The ayam penyet was served with white rice and soup. the small ball of soup was also very tasty. It should be chicken stock. Served warm, it was indeed comforting.

Bubble Milk Tea Smile Sep 30, 2013

It is the first time I bought this brand of bubble tea to try.

To my surprise, their pearls are white. It's interesting or rather for a change from the usual black pearls.
The pearls were nice and springy and had tasted of honey. Not too bad I thought.

The milk tea was nice and very fragrant. Overall very refreshing drink.

Service staff were very friendly and they served my drink very quickly. The drink cost me $2.40. Pretty satisfying.

samurai is back! Smile Sep 30, 2013

This is the new craze for McDonald's followers. everyone of my friend who had tried was raving about it.
I ordered my beef samurai. Bite into it and went hmm. The sweet teriyaki paired with the beef patty was really good. Every bite was enjoyable.

The only problem I had was that there is some special mayo inside. I feel that mayo and teriyaki really do not go very well.
Perhaps if you are no mayo fan, you should opt out the mayo.
