Cheers!! OK May 30, 2013

Being slightly inaccessible is part of the reason why I find this place to be cosy and it almost feels like a secret hideaway...This bar attracts the slightly more posh, there is a minimum age (I think it's 25), dress code (no shorts, singlets or flip flops) for entry and drinks aren't altogether cheap...Interior decor is dark and velevty, it kinda reminds me of the fictional Gotham City...

Live music played by cover bands are the main attraction for me, I particularly like the music on Thursdays where "Penny Lane" entertain for 3 sets starting round 9pm...You get a really nice view of orchard road and scotts road from the balcony outside of Balaclava if you decide to go for a smoke...Remember, although this place is in the car park, it's best you don't mix drinking and driving...

Japanese X Wester style OK May 29, 2013

This quaint, charming restaurant looks like a western countryside house on the interior is big on ambiance (looks really romantic at night due to the soft light emitting from the table lamps and the view of the river), decent on food (there are hits and misses)...A great place to spot the Japaneses having their family outings there, couples and groups of well dressed ladies...

We order Hamburger Steak, Spaghetti and Omu Rice & Escargot!!

Hamburger Steak --> This is one of MM's signature dishes, Japanese style! its not really a steak but a large burger patty with an egg on top, or you can request not to get egg which I did...

Spaghetti --> Nevertheless, their main course was ambrosia decent...I had the squid ink pasta and it was wicked! The spaghetti was tasty and the sauce was full of flavor, making my brother crave for more...

Omu Rice --> The butter rice wrapped with egg omelette was awesome but the sauce was too salty for my liking...

Escargot --> Slimy and chewy with a rough, tongue-like texture, the butter it is baked in does lend a lot of flavor..."Deeelicious!"

Enjoyable lunch but still worth a visit...!!

Spending per head: Approximately $22(Lunch)

I had finally dined at Pornsak’s restaurant!!
Porn's sexy thai food is an orgasmic experience of Thai Cuisine.

Lemongrass Drink (Left)--> This was more unique, with a very strong aroma of lemongrass, reminded me of my spa session...

Thai Roselle with Lime (Right)--> Too sweet for my liking...

Stuffed Chicken Wing --> It was crispy and thankfully not too oily but I didn't quite like the fatty bits...

I was here with my loved one over the weekend...Is long queue so waited around 20 to 30 mins to get a table for 2...

First off, the appetizer bar is free, and the dishes are surprisingly varied and tasty...(We liked the Chawanmushi.) For additional $2, you can get free flow drinks, which is also a sweet deal...

Taiwan Bubble Tea OK May 29, 2013
Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Actually i'm a Share Tea & Koi's Fan...

I personally prefer Share Tea & Koi's Classic milk tea because I always don't know what I should order from Gong Cha...

What i know is that Gong Cha’s black pearls seem to be slightly smaller than Share Tea & KOI bubble tea’s...Gong Cha tends to be rather weak and bland in taste...But if it comes down to the best bubble tea in Singapore, I’d probably choose Share Tea or KOI cafe over Gong Cha Bubble tea...

The sugar level is just recommended, but if you have a sweet tooth, you can always have your Gong Cha at a higher sugar level...

Spending per head: Approximately $3(Tea)
