I was having lunch with my friends, and thought of sitting down a little longer after our meals to relax, so one of us went to queue up for the BBQ Chicken Wings. The queue was rather long, but what was surprising was that they actually sell many other types of food other than BBQ Chicken Wings although they've named themselves so.BBQ Chicken Wings

Decent Chicken Wings with savory garlic chilli!

This is a great place for supper with decent dim sum.Har GowXiao Long BaoSiew MaiNever seen before: Curry Xiao Long BaoFried WantonThe food standard is not top-notch, but still rather commendable, so I love to dine at this place for those odd-hour hunger pangs. I usually opt for outdoor seats, because it's really cooling, breezy, peaceful and quiet at this stretch of Sims Avenue at night. I don't usually order alot of food here, because I don't want to be too bloated before bed time. After satisfying the tummy, I always feel so warm and fuzzy, and I'd fall soundly asleep after I get home.

I don't expect delicacies at every meal; sometimes a cheap and good coffeeshop fare is good enough for me.Paid about $2.70 for this, and I suspect the ingredients fall under the 2 meat 1 vege category, so it's cheap. Nowadays even at coffeeshops one can hardly find food costing below $3. There is also quite a generous serving of rice and dishes, so I'd have to request for less rice to prevent any wastage. The food tastes decently good too!

Most foodcourt stalls that serve prawn noodles also serve alongside other dishes like laksa and bak chor mee. So what tempted me to eat from Zhen Zi was that they only serve 1 dish, and that is prawn noodles, albeit in different styles like dry, soup, with/without pork ribs. The soup base was commendable but not too outstanding. It would have been better if the prawns were de-shelled before serving. To be fair I'd say it's decent standard and in a good location.

I guess my taste buds are too pampered having eaten luxury prawn noodles from River South Prawn Noodles and Beach Road Prawn Noodles. I'm aware it may not be an effective comparison, but rather than paying $5.50 for average prawn noodles, I guess I'll probably opt to top up an additional $1.50, to pay $7 for a good bowl of River South Prawn Noodles with Pork Ribs - that is, if I do have the luxury of time to travel. If not, then Zhen Zi would be a good alternative to settle that prawn noodle craving.

I wanted to buy myself a Mrs Happy donut, seeing how cute it was! Since it was already fully sold out, I settled for a Strawberry Frost donut instead.What first tempted me to buy this was because the strawberry jam filling oozed out from the donut, and I couldn't resist the idea of munching on a donut fill with strawberry jam.Took a bite and was a little disappointed because the fillings were very little. Nonetheless, it tasted good, just like bread with strawberry jam topped with some icing.

Will go back for Mrs Happy donut!
