Went for dinner with my colleagues in Fish & Co. at NEX. From about 7:40pm, we waited till about 8:15pm before we got a seat for 8. -_-” The service attitude was bad too. No cutlery present on the table and even upon serving!! What?! How come the service is so good at the AMK Hub branch?!Grilled Salmon Cajun with fries and rice! It’s very nice!! This alone without any top-ups or meal completion cost me $22..

I've always loved the rice, so I was glad that the taste is still good with this newest branch of the franchise (despite the lousy service). The fish is fresh and the sauce used is unique. It has a tinge of spiciness and that's what makes it so exciting~

Well, it's the sushi place nearest to us, so we frequent it often.

However, their claim to be authentic is unfounded because of several reasons. Like how there's too much rice, the fish not being fresh enough, the cancellation of gyoza, etc..

Not to say they are all bad, there are merit points too. I can always tell when they are putting in effort to be creative.

This particular branch also plays the best selection of Japanese songs from a certain J-POP queen and groups of a certain male artiste agency.

I like their Chawanmushi because it is smooth! There are some unique sushi that I like, too, like the pieces of Unagi gunkan, fried salmon skin gunkan among others.

One suggestion could be to lessen the rice, because authentic sushi does not have so much rice. I should write a review for a certain conveyor belt sushi restaurant from Taiwan, lol~

I recommend only those living in Seng Kang who are desperate for a quick fix of sushi cravings. Otherwise..... XD

Saizeriya is a family restaurant in Japan with many branches and it has lots of branches in Singapore too.

It serves Japanese-Western fusion food with no GST and Service Charge!Mushroom Soup had a "Special" attached to its name, but it's normal. Except for the extraordinary amount of garlic. But, it's nice.The Curry Baked Rice is not anything special and took quite a while to be served.

Overall, it's a fuss-free restaurant and I like it.

Nana's Green Tea finally comes to Singapore! Open concept and interesting seating! Service is good too with their manager being a Japanese.Beef Curry Udon is super nice! The meat is very tender and sliced thinly! The curry is really not the average Japanese curry found in supermarkets or other low-level fake-Japanese restaurants!Berry Parfait is really very smooth! Not too sweet and full of ingredients!! The corn flakes add crunch! Interesting!Wakatama Udon is really fragrant and the egg is PERFECT!!

It's located near the Bukit Merah Public Library. From the interchange, just cross the bridge, walk straight, cross the road to block 161 and walk under it. It's just a short walk.



Pan Delights is a very small café/restaurant. The atmosphere inside and outside is a big contrast. One would feel that it shouldn't be in the heartlands and should be in town.

Furniture is simple with wood and metal as the main theme so it's rather dark.



The board at the counter could do with a better decoration though. The walls are too bare so I think a few photographs of their food would help a lot.



The menu is quite cute and unique. A few thin papers of different lengths are fastened to a wooden board with a metal fastener. Fits with the theme of the restaurant!

Plus, there's neither GST nor service charge! Yay!

The mains were not available when we were there at 1:30pm.

The food we ordered arrived at about 2:15pm. So they have to do something about the long waiting time.



Truffle Fries — $7.90

Well, "truffle" is quite in trend nowadays. It's strong in smell but quite okay in taste. The amount of cheese powder is not enough. The white sauce should be tartar sauce? Nice combination.



Pan's Toast — $7.90

Honestly, when it arrived, I was a bit shocked to see it. But maybe it's because I didn't read the description properly. Anyway, it's a thick piece of palm-sized toast. The egg taste isn't really there and the edges are quite hard. They served butter which is good because margarine is not food so I'm glad. The mixed berry sauce is sweet and sour, very nice but barely enough for me to eat with the toast.



Pan's Breakfast — $14.90

It looks like quite a spread! The sausage is quite big and juicy. The toast looks quite sad and soggy though. The scrambled egg is fluffy. The salad is crunchy. The bacon is oily but yummy as it's not overwhelmed with salt!



Spinach Pan-edict — $10.90

A "healthy" dish of veggies, two eggs, two bun halves and dressing!



Salmon Pan-edict — $13.90

Same as above but with the addition of thin slices of super salty salmon.



Pan-Cakes — $7.90

Small and cute, the pancakes remind me of the ones in Little Pancakes, but they're not as pretty around the edges. The honey they used is not very sweet and sick and the pancake also gets the bacon taste, very interesting mix and it's rather delicious! The pancake itself tastes quite nice and fluffy too!



Hot Cappuccino — $4.50

It's pretty and looks thick. My friend said it's quite nice even with only one sachet of sugar.



Overall, it's a nice place without crowds of people walking outside. However, there were quite a few people who looked inside through the full glass panel due to curiosity! Quite funny. We left the place at 3:05pm as the last customer. They close at 3:30pm before opening again at 5:30pm during which they will serve the "mains" in the menu.

I recommend relaxing here for breakfast or brunch before you head to the crowded town area!
