Big Pau Smile Jun 12, 2013
Categories : Singaporean Chinese

Was craving for some meat thus decide to buy a big pau to satisfy my craving.
I prefer my pau with savoury fillings instead of sweet fillings. Sweet fillings tend to cover over the fragrance of the pau skin, unlike savoury fillings which complements the pau skin.
The pau tastes very nice, its skin is not too thick and fragrant, and its meat filling is juicy and quite generous, made me craving for another one.

butter cookies Smile Jun 12, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop

These biscuits are packed in a transparent plastic pack, which can be commonly seen in most confectionery shops.
It is a butter flavoured biscuit, with some sugar bits sprinkles, as usual, no biscuits can go wrong with butter flavoured, and I am addicted to anything with butter, thus, I will say it tastes nice, or should I say it will suit most butter lovers' taste buds.
Texture wise, although it looks crunchy, it is actually quite soft inside.
It also has a tinge of vanilla taste.

coffee swiss roll OK Jun 09, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Bakery

Whenever my mum buys swiss roll from a bakery shop, she usually only choose either chocolate or coffee flavour, and this time she chose the coffee flavour. But most of the time, she cannot quite differentiate the colours between the chocolate and coffee flavour, as both are brown, just that they are a few shades different.
I cut myself a slice and eat, the cake itself is quite soft but does not taste really nice, not much of the coffee aroma.
The cream is thin and little, and it taste like those normal whipped cream, not much sweetness and coffee taste that I would like to have.

green bean soup Smile Jun 09, 2013

This green bean soup is quite delicious, I like to eat any kinds of beans in dessert form.
Green bean soup is good for a hot day.
The amount of beans given is quite generous, I could enjoy beans in every mouthful, unlike some other stores which serve prolly just soup instead of bean soup.
The beans are cooked just nice, not too hard nor too soft, just the kind of texture and crunch I would like to have.
The soup is also just nice, not too sweet nor bland.

Mr Bean is my favourite chain for a soya bean drink fix.
Their soya bean drink is not like those bottled or coffee shop standard which taste very artificial and sometimes can be too sweet or too bland.
Their soya bean drink taste healthier, fresh and thick and is not too sweet.
I can really taste the real soya bean taste in every sip.
Their cheese pancakes taste average, skin is kind of thick and not much filling inside.
