October meet-up to celebrate our friend's birthday.

In short, there was a good variety of ala-carte dishes here and the food was good. Sashimi was fresh and thickly sliced. The lunch buffet cost $35++ and with OCBC credit card, you will get to enjoy 15% off. However, probably due to shortage of staff, service was very slow. We ordered quite a number of servings for the fresh sashimi and we were all satisfied with the food, though not with the service.

If you are looking for good quality marinated meat for BBQ, maybe you can consider "Mmmm!"! My friend hosted a BBQ at his place and he bought all the meat from Mmmm! We all were rather satisfied with the quality of the meat - fresh and well marinated.Thus, I suggest next time, if you are hosting a BBQ and have some budget, why not consider buying marinated meat from Mmmm!? It will definitely save you lots of time buying fresh meat from supermarket and marinating them from scratch.

When you are at TCC, one dessert that you shouldn't miss is the "Dark Devotion". There was once, when I dined at TCC with my 2 other friends, all 3 of us love their signature "Dark Devotion" dessert and we actually ordered 3 sets of the same dessert! We love to see how the chocolate oozes out as we "poked" the cake.For this visit, I went with my hubby. Being a carnivore, he ordered the steak which was done really nicely! The presentation was good too! I ordered baked rice, but it was a bit disappointing.

I popped by Xin Wang Hong Kong Café 新旺香港茶餐厅 for lunch with my colleagues during one of the lighter work days. I had patronized all the restaurants at White Sands Shopping Mall except this one, before this visit. Thus, after dining here, you can say I already "conquered" all the restaurants at White Sands Shopping Mall!I ordered Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop as I think this dish should not go wrong with any Hong Kong restaurant. Fortunately, the baked rice didn't disappoint and the pork chop's texture was just right, not too tough.

I simply love the udon here and I don't seem to be getting sick of it after paying so many visits to this little udon kiosk at the basement of Takashimaya Shopping Mall. The udon is so smooth and for this visit, I ordered the tempura prawns with the udon. The broth was light and blended well with the spring onion.The prawns were big and cripsy too. I also like their fried veggies which I had ordered during my previous visits.

Do give this kiosk a try if you like udon!
