Sis's 40th Birthday Smile Sep 03, 2013

Went hunting for Birthday Cake at Bukit Panjang Plaza for my sister's 40th Birthday! Wanted to buy only a small slice but all the slice cakes available at all the cake shops (Bengawan Solo, Four Leaves & Swee Heng) looks pathetic. Almost wanted to head down to Lot1, then I realized there's a newly open Prima Deli!

Bought the small Cookies & Cream cake $19.80 It is soft & fluffy with quite a lots of oreo cookies in there! Super delicious yet not too sweet. This is also the cake Daryl choose for his grandpa's Birthday last year.

Good Food; Great Service Smile Sep 03, 2013

It's been long time since we dine at Latitude, ONE°15 Marina Club. Kogu & Jenny went previous week with Nizam. Nizam wanted to dine there again & offered to pay, they pick me last Sunday & off we go! Supposed to pick me up at 7pm but Jenny's mum came back quite late. We ended up reaching the Club only at 9.45pm & they will be closed at 10.30pm.

First on the list.. .. Oysters & Lobsters. Oysters are fresh, fat & juicy while the lobsters are a little chewy but with quite a bit of roe! But there are only about 10 Oysters left. I took 6 & Jenny took the rest.

Fresh Chilled Prawns & Salmon Sashimi were fresh & sweet; Parma Ham with Rock Melon, Smoked Salmon, Prawn & Asparagus Salad were yummy

Nothing impressive for me at the hot food section as most of the dishes are either with creme sauce or too cheesy for me. I only took some Scallops, Chicken, Veal & Kebabs. Kebabs are hard cos I reckon it has been there for too long already. The rest of the items were ok.

Another round of Lobsters & Prawns. This time with Alaska Crab. Not a fan of it but since there isn't anymore Oysters, I took what is available. The Crabs were as fresh & sweet too.

Suddenly one of the waitress came with a complimentary Pizza for us. She says if we can't finish this, we can tabao! lol I didn't try the pizza as I find it too cheesy for me, but friends say's it's good

The same waitress who serve us with the Pizza asked if we would like some more Oysters & when I say yes, she went in & came back with 9 Oysters for me! Again, the oysters were very fresh, fat & creamy

Fruits & desserts since they're closing in 5 mins time! Not much choices left. I only took 3 Macaroons which taste pretty weird, some soury taste tart, Fried Ball (?) , Dark Chocolate Cake, Walnut Pastry which taste quite good except for the cinnamon taste on the pastry. So what's the Fried Ball thing?

It's a Fried Ice Cream but... ... the so-called ice cream is actually frozen Durian Puree! We took this at 10.25pm just before they close. When we realize that this is so good, we actually asked if we can have more. They were very nice to turn on the fryer again to fry 2 more pieces for us!

Spending per head: Approximately $70(Dinner)

Very small portion dessert Smile Sep 03, 2013

Dinner after KTV Session with friends, but I only had dessert as I was meeting another group of friends for dinner.

Red Bean Paste with Japanese Rice Dumpling & Iced Ribena. Red bean paste was good; not overly sweet and it was quite thick. Red beans were soft and the rice dumpling is quite chewy. However, the portion is a little small. Ice ribena was not overly sweet as well. Will be back for proper meal soon.

Meet up with a few friends fro lunch before heading to KTV

Basil Noodles $9.9 looks simple but it's flavorful.

Tom Yum Seafood Horfun $9.9 is good. Sour & not too spicy. Very generous on the ingredients too.

Tom Yum Seafood Soup $7.6 is not very spicy & it's sour; fresh ingredients were generous also

Red Ruby with Jackfruit & Coconut Ice Cream $6.9 is nice. Most places serve it with shaved ice & coconut milk, but this is served with coconut ice cream, which makes it thicker

Spending per head: Approximately $20(Lunch)

Pretty Birthday Cake Smile Sep 03, 2013

Categories : Bakery | Desserts and Cakes

Heeren's First Birthday & the host ordered his birthday cake from Pine Garden. Slightly different from his elder brother's 1st birthday cake cos this time round, Pine Garden do not decorate the cake with Disney characters toppers, but the cake is still nicely decorated. The host add on the Disney toppers when she collected the cake.

2-tier being top tier with Triple Chocolate and bottom tier with their signature Lychee Martini. I didn't get to eat the Triple Chocolate cos all the kids who attended the part whacked all of it! I had the Lychee Martini & it was supper yummy. The cake was soft & fluffy, with strong fragrant of lychee martini. Fondant alphabets were not too sweet also.
