Friday dinner with Angela & Ivy. We were supposed to go for a chill out session at Timbre but we changed the venue to The Soup Spoon Union as I had very bad gastric in the morning. The Soup Spoon Union - a new concept where they merge The Soup Spoon, The Hand Burger, Soup Broth Asia & Mill Press Brew together. Customers are able to choose from 4 different food joints while seated at 1 restaurant.

Waiting electronic number is given should you need to wait for your food. While most places requires you to bring the electronic tag to the counter when it buzz, here they will locate you when it buzz

My meal Soup + half salad + Ice lemon Tea (Half Caesar Salad. I forgot to ask for it to be served without cheese, so gotta make do with it. Luckily the smell isn't that strong)

Toyko Chicken Stew Soup with generous servings of chicken, lotus root, golden mushroom, carrots. Soup is sweet & all the ingredients are very soft.

Ivy's Chicken Caesar Burger meal. She was expecting the Chicken to be grilled but it was fried. However, no complains from her.

It's really yummy Smile Oct 08, 2013

Categories : Malaysian | Hawker Centre | Noodles

We were back at Tampines market to buy lunch again. This time, we choose the other stall that is also with the snake queue to see if it's really good. We bought the signature Sarawak Kolo Mee and it's really yummy. The noodles are all handmade and it's very springy. Char siew is sweet; ingredients in dumpling are fresh; the braised pork are also tender & sweet. Chili on the hand is a little bland

Quite disappointing Cry Oct 08, 2013

Colleague was in the mood, so he drove us out to Tampines market to buy lunch. Upon reaching, we saw 2 stalls with snake long queue, we decide to give one of them a try since most of us have the "got queue means good" mentality tongue

Between both, we decide on this stall cos colleagues wanted to try the prawn noodle with pork ribs while I have the prawn noodle with pig's intestine. Quite disappointing cos although prawns are fresh & sweet, the pig's intestine was not washed thoroughly, thus having this bitter taste & smell. The noodles although springy, it has this super string yest smell.

Sauce lack of peanut flavor Cry Oct 08, 2013

Still an Beach Road waiting for the guys to come. Apart from ordering bakso from another stall, another friend ordered Satay (Chicken & Mutton) cos his wife is craving for it. Both the chicken & mutton satay meat are very tender, juciy and nicely grilled. However, the peanut sauce is a little disappointing. Although it is very thick & full of peanuts, it doesn't have any peanut fragrant

More like beansprout soup Cry Oct 08, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Malay | Hawker Centre | Halal

The guys did an impromptu dinner meet up at Beach Road cos we have not met for more than 1 month. As usual, the guys are always late, so I ordered a bowl of bakso to fill my empty stomach first while waiting for them

The meat balls in the bakso were juicy and very bouncy. However, the bowl of soup is full of beansprouts and I couldn't taste anything else except beansprouts.
