When I came here for dinner last week, I ordered a plate of fried snacks for our table to share. The dish I ordered was a vegetarian set, which came with fried flour fritters and mushrooms. The dish was really yummy, not being too greasy and being very flavoursome. The mushrooms were big juicy and fresh and the batter was crisp and light, without an old oily taste to it.

Delicious cheesecakes are really abundant at Coffee bean and tea leaf! They have quite a few number of cheesecake flavours that are all very unique. The one I tried this time was a Mocha Chocolate Cheesecake. The cheesecake had a biscuit based topped with coffee flavoured cheesecake filling and with dollops of chocolate cake interspersed throughout the cake! Super delicious smooth and creamy! There is a very unique bun/donut here. The confection is called a cheese donut, and is actually a huge donut shaped ring shaped bun. The bun is huge is size and is dusted with confectioners sugar. The bun is called a cheese donut and lives up to its name being filled with delicious cream cheese filling. The filling practically oozes out when you cut into the giant bun and taste absolutely delicious being just sweet enough.

Pies and Coffee is an interesting concept, pairing gourmet pies with gourmet coffee. The pie selection here is pretty extensive, and I had a beef wagyu cheek pie with a coffee for lunch on a weekday. The pie crust is very good, light and very flaky and tender, breaking apart with the slightest pressure. The wagyu filling kinda tastes like beef stew though, can't really tell its wagyu.

The pau here is very unique. This pau is not steamed like other paus, instead it is pan fried. This means that the bun is crispy on the base while being soft and fluffy on the upper half. The inside is pork filling which is juicy and succulent with a lot of yummy juice. The pau comes with ginger and vinegar like xiao long bao and you can consume it with the condiments for extra flavour.
