Korean Rice Cake

Korean Rice Cake

This is a must try! Best rice cake i have ever eaten! Well cooked with the right sauce, you just want more and more! Generous serving of sauce which coates each and ever rice cake and veggie. Craving for it now!
Korean Hotpot

Korean Hotpot

Consist of Veggie, Luncheon Meat, Maggi Mee, Beancurd, this dish is definitely well stocked with ingredients! Super yummy but it taste pretty much like nong shim cup noodles, which is one if my fav cup noodles so no complains from my side! However the price of this might be a turn off cause you can get the similar taste for less that $2.
Seafood Pancake

Seafood Pancake

Everyone said it tasted like orh lua cause of the starchy texture. But it is well fried, offering a crispy exterior and a smooth interior which is an absolute divine!

Best Curry Fish Head Ever! Smile Oct 22, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Coffeeshop | Seafood

For a really long time, my family have been heading to this particular stall for its Fish Head Curry. When the stall shifted a couple of years back, we were had gone on wild chases searching for that elusive Fish Head Curry.

So imagine our joy when we were reunited to our old favourite, Ocean 92!

Served piping hot with a generous serving ingredients, I am salivating just at the thought of it now.

Spiciness at a really comfortable level which gives you a good kick but also allows you so slurp up mouthful after mouthful of thick curry gravy without glurping down your drinks to cool your tastebuds down. It is also sour enough to enhance the flavour of their entire dish. This my friend, is so damn freaking good!

Another side dish that my family have as a “must” order is this squid dish which comes in a unque thick dark sauce. You can give it a go to know what I am talking about it!

There are other dishes that you can try out too but these are my top 2 recommendations.
Hope you like it!

Holland V's Chill Out Spot Smile Oct 20, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Café

The name did raise brows everytime I mentioned it, but this hidden find had my heart on my first visit. Located on the 2nd and 3rd level, it is easy to miss the narrow stairwell that leads to this cafe. One foot in, and you step into an extremely cozy cafe to while your afternoon away.

The 2nd level is nicknamed “The Lawn”, where we can find white swinging chairs with colourful pillows, lawn grass under our feet and a view overlooking the busy streets of Holland Village.

That might just be my favourite spot in the cafe. I could see myself what a cup of coffee and a slice of cake while enjoying a good read in this cafe over the weekend, or on one of my early day’s off.

Wanted something sweet yet still pack a coffee punch that wouldn’t kill your sleeping time, the affogato will be my choice of poison. A scoop of vanilla ice cream soaked in 2 shots of espresso, it was a perfect treat for the afternoon. I love the robustness of the espresso which is the perfect complement to the vanilla ice cream.

Be greet with “aaahhh” “ummm” and “OMGGG”s the moment you have a mouthful of this creamy cheesecake which has the perfect harmony of the fragrant sweetness of the maple syrup and the sea salt! A pure orgasmic delight as your tastebud dance away in wanton ecstasy as you wreck your brains wondering how this cake can taste so good.

The price isn’t the cheapest but… $9 anytime for this huge slice of cake you can enjoy with your gal pal while you chat the afternoon away.

Friday = Party all night!
*Cue Pitbull Music*
If you didnt end up hugging a toilet bowl tonight, and feeling a little peckish, let me introduce this little unpretentious gem, which I discovered last night!
Opened till 5am, dont be surprised to see a queue at night, as this stall has loads of fans for their delicious and extensive range of yummy ingredient. Despite feeling bloated, I couldnt resist the dishes that was placed in front of me!

Special mention to the stirfry liver and potato which were so good, my chopsticks was drawn to it like a magnet, continuously picking at it!
The pork liver at Ye Shang Hai is mixed with a savoury thick brown sauce which is perfect to mask the horrible liver smell! For the first time in my life, i saw myself eating more liver than I had ever eaten in my life!! It is that good!
The potatoes are also well cooked to the point where it is soft, but not mushy, the perfect bite. Just mentioning it is making me salivate.

Wimbly lu love Smile Oct 31, 2013

Categories : Café | Desserts and Cakes

Nestled among Jalan Riang’s private estate, this is a place you would definitely miss from the main road unless you decided to take a ride through the private estate to peek into people’s houses.

Despite the remote location, wimbly lu is often full house! Lucky for us, we only waited for 15 mins and we slot our orders in fairly quickly with the help of a friendly staff.
Classic Hot Chocolate

Classic Hot Chocolate

Rich but it kind of lack the thickness I seek. I am a sucker for really really thick and rich hot chocolate which is not often found in Singapore.
Eton Mess

Eton Mess

A base of Meringue dosed with whipped cream and Raspberry Compote.
Nothing fantastic honestly. It tasted just like how I describe it.
Chocolate Truffle Tofu Cake

Chocolate Truffle Tofu Cake

It’s a cake thats chocolately, made from healthy tofu and yummy to boot!
Best combi ever and I honestly didn’t taste a single bit of tofu despite its name! Love love love. That is going to be the reason why I m stopping over back at this place.
Root beer cake served with vanilla ice cream

There are other cakes on display which I am looking forward to try again and I am sure you would like to try too.

Prices are from $5 onwards with most desserts in the $6-8 range.
Despite the difficult location, it is definitely a place I will go back to, with chocoholic lovers!
