Passed by this place while I was cafe hunting and I saw a gal trying to take a picture with the sheep outside the shop. And thus this shop caught my eyes and I decided to call up my bff to have a gathering here.

Food portion while we girls find it a bit too big for us as we ended up finished only half of our own share BUT the food was surprising ok. I have never tried pancakes as a dinner or as a savory so the combi was quite refreshing for me.One thing I really like about this place is it's really very cosy.On top of that,it lives up to its name as the pancakes are really very fluffy.Beside that, maybe as there aren't many people who know about this place, thus it's a good place for cam whoring.

One of the reason beside that this place is super cheap is they have very good homemade thai chilli sauces which many places don’t have. All in all they have 3 types of chilli sauces which is suppose to go well with either seafood, meat or another type which is the so called similar to MK steamboat one.Personally I like the seafood one the most as it’s a bit more on the spicy side with a tangling citrus after taste.
Other than that, they have no set menu, everything is by ala cart order. However, most of the basic food for mookata are all listed in the menu like prawn,chicken,pork,beef..etc
I spent $24.40 for 2 pax which I think it was very cheap as usually I spent more than $25 per pax at other mookata place.
For more details you can read at my blog http://hannahchia.tumblr.com/post/59693306007/siam-square-mookata-the-hawker-centre-mookata

Enbu was the first of seven Japanese dining concepts by
Komars Group ANA Trading, the retail arm of ALL NIPPON AIRWAYS (ANA) to make
its foray into the ever bustling F&B scene in Singapore. With an increasing
appetite for Japanese cuisine, it was definitely a timely opportunity for both
restauranteurs and diners alike.

At Enbu, the Izakaya-restaurant took an alfresco
area once occupied by the sky garden of Suntec City. Its outdoor spaces
offer a good respite for beer and Izakaya cuisine from the hustle and bustle of
the Central Business District. Apart from the natural breeze, the high ceiling
and warm lightings of the restaurant also made us feel at ease and comfortable. Special attention was also given to the tableware and cutleries, which were all specially
imported from Japan.

Like all Izakayas where alcohol takes centre stage,
patrons can choose from a staggering line-up of exquisite craft beers, from the
fruity Coedo Craft Beer White (350ml, $15) to the soft bitter Coedo Craft Beer
Ruri (350ml, $15), Sakes and a variety of Suntory highballs.

Enbu specialises in Warayaki, a grilling style unique
to Kochi prefecture in the Shikoku region of Japan. Resident chef Tatsunori
Yara, despite being an Okinawan native, is an expert in using straw to smoke and grill
meat.

We had both the Chicken Warayaki with Special Spring Onion Sauce ($19)
and the Katsuo Warayaki ($16).

The chicken was succulent and the fragrance from the smoking of straw was strong and lingering, almost the same aftertaste you get from
drinking aged whisky. The dish also came with lettuce, spring onions and Korean
Gojujang sauce which gave it an interesting Korean twist.

Like the Warayaki, the Taco Salad ($15) was an interesting dish adopted from Mexican cuisine. It was also playful as we had
the chance of making our own salad. We were given glass bottles to shake the main ingredients before dressing the salad with guacamole meat sauce and grated cheese, placed into a fried
spring roll skin bowl on top of generous servings of diced cabbage.

The fried
spring roll skin added an Asian texture into an otherwise ordinary Mexican
dish.

Other dishes were much less adventurous, like the Homemade
Steamed Tofu ($12), which was simply a bowl of steamed tofu with accompanying
condiments such as the Japanese soy sauce and grated ginger. While the tofu tasted
good and was served in a pretty ceramic bowl, I thought it was on the pricier
side.

The Smoked Salmon with Homemade Cheese Tofu ($12) was also good though
the taste was somewhat anticipated and lacked originality.

Uni was an recurring theme on the menu of Enbu. The Deep
Fried Tofu with Uni Sauce ($12) and the Oyster and Spinach Teppanyaki with Uni
Sauce ($15) were amongst the crowd favourites.

The uni dishes were slightly more
savoury than usual, presumably made that way to pair with the beer we were
served.

If you are thinking of ordering these dishes, I would suggest getting
alcoholic drinks to better accentuate their brine.

My favourite of the night would be the Sashimi Platter ($60
for 2). The Chutoro (medium fatty tuna) was perfect with its marbling of fats,
and it melted onto my tongue before the oil of the fish filled my entire mouth.
Equally excellent was their Hamachi (Japanese amberjack), the Katsuo (Skipjack
tuna) and the huge dollop of Murasaki Uni. My only gripe was they served Sashimi
without gari-gari or pickled ginger.

We were wondering where they got their supply of sashimi
from when Kazuhiro Nakao San, Senior Manager of ANA Trading revealed that the
fish were specially air-flown from Tsukiji market by ANA air cargo in the morning.
Fresh fish are air-flown in cargo from ANA almost on a daily basis to ensure
that customers get to enjoy only the freshest of Sashimi. With the airline as
a partner, Enbu and the rest of the group's restaurants definitely enjoyed a
logistical advantage for fresh Japanese ingredients that are unmatched for.

Overall it was a nice refreshing experience to dine and
chill over beer at an alfresco Izakaya, the first of its kind in
Singapore. In the pipeline for the group are Megumi, a sushi restaurant, Nigiro
Cafe and NikuNohi, a meat specialty restaurant. Looking forward to their
opening!

I have never been to Brighton Beach in Melbourne but it has always been on my bucket list since I first saw the beautiful bathing boxes online. I was thrilled when I saw the deco of Ice Cream Shack on instagram looking very much like the bathing boxes in Melbourne. Thus I made a mental note to visit the place as soon as I can spare the time.Last Sat after the Food & Socialikes Connect event, a group of us decided to check out this place. I love how brightly lited and vibrant this place is. In fact, no editing was needed for our group pic. Yay! I love natural lighting!

We were quite lucky to meet the young lady boss who went on to tell us about how the ice cream was made from scratch using natural ingredients. And I was right! The deco was inspired by Brighton Beach bathing boxes. There are many interesting ice cream flavours available here. The service was very good too. I am very sure that we tried at least half of what are available before we made our choices. Some of the interesting flavours are like Lychee Rose and Marmite Cheese. The young lady boss also mentioned that they are always getting feedbacks and trying to come out with new flavours. So if you have any crazy flavours in your mind, perhaps you can also suggest to her. smile

We tried the waffles with durian ice cream (off white) and lychee rose (pink) ice cream. The texture of the ice cream is smooth and very close to those of a gelato. I like how intense the durian ice cream flavour is. After finding out from the lady boss, it is actually made using D24 durian! The lychee rose ice cream has a distinct flavour that reminded me of bandung. If you like your waffles to be crispy and airy, the waffles here would appeal to you. smile

The idea of having an ice cream on a cone always appeal to me. Especially with the crazy weather here, I crave for one almost everyday. For the cone one, we choose the mango (yellow) and chocolate (brown) ice creams. While the mango ice cream has an intense mango flavour, the chocolate ice cream is rich and satisfying. But the durian ice cream won our hearts!

It is good to know that there is a 10% discount for secondary school students from 2.30pm to 6.30pm and the ice cream is priced at a reasonable price. A premium ice cream flavour is only $0.80 more than the normal ones ($3.80).

The ice cream shack is located just beside the hawker centre and opposite Butterscotch cafe. I say that the recent weather is simply perfect for an ice cream or two, don't you think? So if you are around the vicinity, do give it a try.

In Singapore, there is no lack of restaurants and bars. However, I am glad that I found this F&B outlet at the newly revamped Suntec City Tower 1. Located on the left side of the taxi stand, what used to be an empty space is where OSG Bar+ stands today. It is a collaboration with STUFF magazine and is the one and only STUFF gadget restaurant and bar in the world. How cool is that? Currently, it is at its infancy stage and I heard the official opening will only be somewhere in early June. But the good news is, there is a 35% discount off the food menu now for its "beta testing stage".

I went on a Wednesday evening with a group of friends. Inside the restaurant, you can see technology related deco such as the circuit tracks on the floor that resemble a computer motherboard.

Besides the circuit tracks, there are also displays of gadgets from watches to camera to earpieces. I guess you can expect to see more state of art gadgets and tech events going on when the place officially opens. Can't wait!

Besides providing free wifi, printing services, you will also be thrilled to find power points readily available for your usage. I also like the idea of hooks provided to hang our bags at the tables and counters. Love their eye for details!

The order for food and drinks are made on the Lenovo Yoga 3 tablet. You can call for bill and service on the tablet. It will automatically link to android watches which the staff are wearing. The watch will vibrate to alert the service crew so you will be attended promptly. Nice!

It is good to know that there are 3 choices of beer (Asahi, Carlsberg and Kronenbourg Blanc) on the tap. Besides beer, there are also a variety of wine, liquor and champagne. What a heaven for a light drink after work! Hehe =)

Under the "tapas" section, we ordered the escargots which are served in choice of 6 or a dozen. The escargots are served without shells and I was happy to not fuss over digging the flesh out of the shell. They were presented on top of a bed of sauteed spinach and I love the infusion of butter, herbs and garlic to the escargots.

The 150g of Tenderloin ($15.50) is glazed with teriyaki sauce and sprinkled with black sesame. A touch of oriental on the tender moist beef slices.

The Kurobuta Pork is tender with a tinge of sweetness. It is quite addictive and goes well with a pint of beer. I like the fact that it is sliced to bite size.

We also ordered 1 bottle of champagne from Domaines Barons de Rothschild. The champagne was specially curated by the boss himself and OSG Bar+ is one of the first to carry this champagne in Singapore. I was never a champagne person as I always find most champagnes too acidic and over the top bubbly for my liking. It was a pleasant surprise to find this champagne not too acidic and have a lingering sweetness. Thus, we end up ordering another bottle after that.

I returned last Friday afternoon for lunch to have the Spaghetti Aglio Olio ($17.90) after trying it on Wed night. If you like something spicy, this is something that you may like. Served with de-shelled prawns, it is quite a hearty dish to have.

Overall, OSG Bar+ has quite an interesting concept. Besides being a gadget bar, it also serves decent food, delicious champagne and fresh beer. On top of that, I like the fact that there are ample of power points and printing service so it can serve as an alternative working space. Do check out this place if you are around the vicinity.
