Famous rojak at Dunman OK Nov 30, 2013

This is one of the famous stalls in Dunman food centre. Located on the left hand side of level 2, it can be easily spotted once you walk up the stairs. Do note that the waiting time is about half an hour and the uncle will inform you before you order too.
The starting price started from $2 and there is an auntie who will be helping the uncle to toast the fried beancurb and you tiao.
i ordered my rojak ($2) with an century egg ($1) by the side. The rojak was slightly sweet and with heaps of grained peanuts on top. Overall, it was relatively good but to wait half an hour for it, I think I will nottry this again unless there is no queue. =)

Located by the river, eM by the river adopted alfresco dinning concept. By day, it is a good place to have brunch (Till 3pm) or to just chill and read a book. By night, it's transformed into a dinning cum chillout place.

I was there at eM on one of the evening to chillout with my friends. beside having alcohol, we had some spam chips and homemade tiramisu. The tiramisu was not too sweet, creamy and with a tinge of coffee liquor taste while the spam chips were thin and crispy. I would highly recommend these two if you are not in for any "real" food and just want to enjoy some dessert and some snackers.

Located inside Oasia hote, Zaffron is easily access via car or public transport. Beside having several carparks around, there is bus stops and mrt within walking distance.

The buffet spread here is not as much as many other places. However there is a station for chilled seafood and th seafood were quite fresh, a sashimi and sushi station, a satay station, a laksa station, a rojak station and also a dessert station. Overall the food here is quite ok but nothing very fantastic. I do recommend this place for business lunch or dinner as the restaurant is overall very quiet and I think it's quite good for business meeting

2 days ago after my church mid week service together with my churchmates, I have decided to try to get the tau suan again. Failed attempt as I was there very late. Thus I tried on their Bubur Terigu which is white wheat cooked with pandan leaves and gula melaka la. It was again another great dish from this stall. Not only can I taste and smell the gula melaka, it has the fragrant pandan smell as well. On top of that, it is not too sweet and you have an option to have it with or without coconut milk. I highly recommended this.Seriously cheap and good. $1.20 for a bowl of lovely finish to your hawker affair at redhill food centre.

Located near redhill market, there is a big food centre that is busy from morning till evening. Beside the drunken uncles you can see in the evening, there are also a lot of food choices here. One of them is this carrot cake that is at the end corner of the middle section.

Operated by a chinese couple, they are mainly selling carrot cake in either black or white. On top of that, they are also selling chinese dumpling at $1 each. However the carrot cakes are the highlights of this store.

Usually for stall selling fried carrot cake, they are only selling 1 type of carrot cake, wither the white or the black and rarely do they excel in both. However carrot cake here are flavourful and unique in their own way. I like the fact that the carrot cakes here are soft and for the black one, you can distintively taste the sweetness from the black sweet sauce yet it's not too overwhelming and the taste is just right.

For the white carrot cake, there is a lot cai poh( preserved radish) in it. Together with lots of garlic, it was fragrant and a simple affair that could be enjoyed by all.
Overall, this is one of the stall that sell very good fried carrot cakes, do try it if you pass by redhill next time. =)

Spending per head: Approximately $2(Other)
