Very nice thai steamboat Smile Aug 26, 2013

Categories : Thai | Steamboat/Hot Pot

Went with 3 of my friends to Happy Mookata for dinner and to my surprise, there were no queue! In the past, I remembered queuing for 30mins before getting in. I guess the other mookata branches are getting more popular now too so the crowd here is slightly lesser.

A plate full of meet. As we dont eat prawn, we changed all the prawn to pork.

I love mookata because of the combination of bbq + steamboat, it is simply heavenly! lol Their soup base is very tasty, no MSG added too. All the meat was well marinated. We were so satisfied with this meal lol

Favorite Carbonara  Smile Aug 25, 2013

This is by far my favorite carbonara! Wonder what kind of cream milk they use, it is really nice and creamy, the texture is just right. And a generous amount of bacon, ham and mushroom are given too. When the raw egg is mixed together, it just taste heavenly! lol although this simple dish cost SGD$12.90++, i find it really worth if for the quality. If you are a big fan of carbonara, you must try this. way too satisfying lol

Hazelnut Milk Tea Smile Aug 24, 2013

Was feeling quite thirsty after shopping at bugis village, so i came to Koi and get a drink. KOi has been my favorite bbtea store since 2009. And my favorite flavor will be - Hazelnut Milk Tea, which only cost $2.90 ( with or without pearl ). I ordered 50% sugar level and the sweetness is just right. Also, i really like their tea fragrant and with a hint of the taste of hazelnut is perfect. I have been drinking this flavour for the past 4 years. highly recommended!

Spending per head: Approximately $3(Tea)

Nice yu pian mifen! Smile Aug 22, 2013   (Related Review)

Xin Yuan Ji is famous for their fish steamboat, curry fish head and their fish soup (yu pian mifen). Was here before for their zi char and now I'm back for the fried fish soup. Indeed, it live up to its name! I love the soup with that nice "milky" taste. A generous amount of vegetable and fish were given too. The fish were fresh without they fishy smell at all.

The serving time is within 10minutes even though the restaurant is full with people.

This bowl of heaven cost $5.80 (no gst and service charge). Although it is more expensive than the usual hawker price, it is still worth it for the quality.

If you are looking for a budget place with nice food to dine in at bugis, this will be the most ideal one! lol

Awesome Pork Cheek Ramen Smile Aug 15, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Ramen

Specially went to try out Santouka's famous pork cheek ramen. Indeed, it live up to its name! The ramen were authentic and the soup base is good too. eating this makes me feel like I'm back to Japan. The main highlight is actually the pork cheek, which literally melts in my mouth!! too awesome. The noodles were very chewy too. Added a chawanmushi too and the steam egg were nicely flavored. A perfect meal to me. nothing to be unhappy about.

However, do prepared to queue during peak meal hours. I don't remember they make reservation. But i gotta say it is worth the time queuing! lol
