Good japanese food  Smile Dec 18, 2013

was here before to try the shiok maki since it is so famous and now i am back to try out more dishes! i had fried chicken, freid tofu and sashimi and all are good except for the fried chicken which is pretty mediocre. The fried tofu is nice, the tofu is really soft and i love the sauce with it. Sashimi is thick and fresh which taste so good togetehr with wasabi and soya sauce. Last but not least, the shiok maki is still as good ( reviewed it before in my previous entry). was quite glad that the standard of shiok maki did not drop even after it got popular.

will definitely be back again to this japanese restaurant smile

Had brunch at nosh during one of the weekend with my boy friend and both of us love the ambience of the place! the place gives a very relaxing feeling. a place that is very suitable for couples to have brunch together.

I had smoked salmon benedict egg which cost SGD $18. The portion is normal, taste wise is pretty average too. was expecting the salmon to be more tasty. But it isn't awful too.

My boyfriend had seafood aglio olio which cost SGD $22. I have try a few bites of it and it taste good. the prawns are huge and fresh. however, i will find that is a bit pricey.

Overall, i will return again in future mainly for the ambience smile

pepper lunch is one of my favorite restaurant to go to when i am feeling budget. I love the concept of 'cooking" the dish yourself using a hot plate. I have ordered BBQ chicken set during my last visit and i really like it! usually i will put honey brown sauce and cook it together with the meat and it just taste so good! the meat is very fresh, soft and tender. The BBQ is also in rich flavoured. Will definitely come back and try out other sets such as bbq beef and salmon set in future.

I was here to have lunch with my friend who work nearby and they was having some promotion that day. Unlimited vege and this plate only cost me $8.80! Super cheap and worth it for the amount of portion! The stabdard of the food is good too. I specially like the smoked salmon and black pepper sausage. Not sure if they still have this promotion, but i think everyone should go and try. Its really worth it for the price smile

Spending per head: Approximately $9(Lunch)

Huge and delicious ji pa!  Smile Dec 18, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Taiwanese

I love the hao da da ji pa ever since i tried in it taiwan. In singapore it is slightly more expensive.

I ordered a set meal which consists of iced tea, fries ( but i requested to change to sweet potato with an additional charges of 30cents) and the original flavor of hao da da ji pa. I paid $7.30 and i find it rather expensive for the portion.

The ji pa is really huge and nice. the chilli powder makes it taste even better. the skin is very crispy and meat is tender. however upon finishing there is alot of bones at the bottom which makes it difficult to eat. Also they do not provide cutting service. The portion of the sweet potato is really little . Taste wise it is good though. iced tea is average.

In future i might just buy the ji pa as ale carte as its not really worth while to pay more for that little amount of sweet potato.
