Organic food for the soul Smile Oct 21, 2013

Felt like eating clean for a day and hence i decided to pop by Sunny choice for some organic goodness.

As we all know, organic food comes with a price. But, it does not compromise on the taste as the dishes we ordered were flavourful and very tasty.

The first dish we ordered was the Tauhu Goreng with pumpkin sauce. Besides looking very pretty and colorful, it was yummy as well. Many different types of veggies came with it such as alfafa and carrots and the chopped peanuts garnished on top added a very nice crunch.

I also ordered their signature lei cha fan (thunder tea rice) which is a Hakka traditional dish. It came with toufu, veggies, peanuts, mushrooms and the tea provided was very awesome as well.

On a weekday night, Medz was not full and there wasn't a queue. We ordered chicken paella which was really tasty and the food was served very quickly with the help of a "mobile buzzer thing" that tells you when it is time to collect your food from the stall.

We also ordered rosti with sour cream which was only average at most. The rosti was not as crispy as the one at Marche but it is considerably cheap at only $5.90 per plate.

The last thing we ordered was a Duck Confit which was about $15. The duck was a little salty but it was very crispy! The mash potato that came we it was very yummy and buttery.

Our dinner only came up to $37 for 3 persons and there is a discount if you use your POSB cards.

Gula melaka pancakes Smile Dec 09, 2014

Tried the salted gula melaka banana pancakes which took quite a while to arrive. Gula melaka was good but a tad too salty. Bananas servings on top and embedded in the pancakes were very generous! Pancakes were also fluffy and fragrant! Decor was special and interesting!

For nature lovers Smile Dec 09, 2014

Ordered the chorizo egg wrap which was a tad too salty. The french toast with banana was good though. Chai latte was a little bland but the peanut butter jelly milkshake was yummy! Ordered scones which were huge and we couldnt finish it in the end. Enjoyed seeing the horses prancing around but the occassional smell of horse poo was a little distracting

Cozy whimsical cafe Smile Oct 24, 2013

Categories : Café

tongueThis has got to be one of my favourite cafes by far. Absolutely in love with the interior decor, the whimsical swings and super romantic alfresco rooftop area.

Service was good too! The barista gave me an adorable bear latte art upon request smile

The Eggs Benedict was up to standards with an awesome tangy hollandaise sauce and perfect runny poached eggs.

However, the brownie cheesecake was a little disappointing. The brownie layer tasted more like chocolate sponge cake. The midday tea set was worth it though - just $6.50 for a cake and a cuppa coffee/tea.

Love the spacious area and also the fact that they allow students to study in peace on the top floor.
