Fried oyster $4
This dish is oily and it is not fried crispy like the Singaporean style because they put lesser tapioca flour (and fry it together with 2 eggs). It is however better to eat it this way (for the health-conscious). The oysters were fresh but rather small. There were about 4 oysters in the dish. The portion's quite small too which is just nice for 1 person.

Durian fritter $2. It was cold when bought but still tasted nice so I am sure when it is served hot, it will taste much better. This is worth a try but it is quite expensive for the size of it. The owner said that the durian is of good quality which justifies the price.

Shredded Chicken Noodle Smile Oct 01, 2013

it is really uncommon to find a bowl of noodles costing $2.50 these days even in hawker centres and coffee shops! Imagine my delight when I discovered this stall selling Shredded Chicken Noodle from $2.50 onwards. There were some shredded chicken and braised mushrooms in it too. I asked for chilli to be added in but it was not really spicy for me. The gravy was not salty and tasted good with the kway tiao.

xiao long bao
the proportion of meat, skin and soup broth was just right. delicious but i stll prefer DTF's version.

chives dumpling $3.60
there were lots of chives in it, if you wait for it to cool down the skin will become rather dry and hard so it's best to eat it hot.

glutinous rice $3.60
sticky glutinous rice served piping hot. the rice was very flavourful and well seasoned.

fried mee sua $10 could be more seasoned and moist. It was still tasty but it was a little too oily for my liking. ingredients were also fresh except for the shrimps and texture of meesua was very smooth.

No service charge!!!
will come back again smile

army stew Smile Oct 01, 2013

after hearing so much about their army stew, i finally headed down to try it! For $36.90, i got a large stew consisting of several meat and ingredients. the portion is supposed to be shared among 2 people. the quality of the food is certainly there and the soup base was very yummy. it was also quite spicy! This is something like korean steamboat except that ingredients are already chosen for you and soup is definitely more special. service was meticulous too smile

good! Smile Oct 01, 2013

brunch was a satisfying and filling bowl of chicken porridge for $2.50. The congee's texture was not too watery, it was just right. The chicken was average-tasting and it was the porridge that makes me want to eat more. The taste of the porridge was further enhanced by the fried onion toppings, soy sauce and pepper. There was a bit of a queue early in the morning but thankfully, I was near the front of the queue and got my order in less than 5 minutes.
