Pork Chop Fried Rice

Pork Chop Fried Rice

Din Tai Fung is one of my favorite Chinese restaurant that serves mouth-watering Xiao Long Bao. Their service is great, the table is set up nicely with our tea cups filled up whenever we are assigned a table. If you ordered the Xiao Cai, it would be served immediately. Love the spice from the chili oil and sourness from the vinegar of the Xiao Cai. Very appetizing indeed!

The main attraction is the Xiao Long Bao. Each Xiao Long Bao has its skin thinly wrapped over its filling and each bite is burst with flavorful soup. The Pork Chop Fried Rice and Prawn Pancake are MUST try in their menu too.

This spacious fully air-conditioned place is great for family gathering. It is always packed with diners every evening. Their MUST order dish is the fried Prawn Paste Chicken. It is not oily and the goes best with a dip in the Belachan Chilli. Another MUST try dish is their Curry Fish Head. The curry is appetizing and not watery with lots of vegetables. Their Cereal Prawn is also nice but standard has drop recently and it is quite oily.

There is no GST or service charge and you are able to get 10% discount if you are a NTUC member =)

Father-in-law MUST eat Curry Puff Smile Sep 29, 2013

My Father-in-law family loves their Potato Curry Puffs. They are best known for their beef and chicken curry puffs. Their curry puffs are big and their fillings are generous! They also sell mini curry puffs but I usually get the normal curry puffs. The puff is very crispy and it just flakes off with every bite! Although it is quite messy, it is definitely worth the cleaning. =)

Tender Pork Cheeks! Smile Sep 29, 2013   (Related Review)

Spicy soup base

This cozy little outlet at The Central serves fantastic Pork Cheeks! Their ramen comes in ‘sizes’, hence if you have a big appetite, you can order the ‘L’ size ramen. I ordered the ‘S’ size ramen and portion of the ramen and pork cheeks are pretty generous. Each slice of pork cheek is well marinated and really tender. However, at times, the pork cheeks are ‘fattier’ and one might find it a little oily. But thankfully, my bowl of spicy ramen and pork cheek are perfect! smile

Hot and Spicy! Smile Sep 28, 2013

My colleagues and I will go Rumah Makan Minang for lunch almost once every week! It is an Indonesian Restaurant that serves nasi padang and assortment of kuehs. There are a variety of dishes for selection, hence you can mix and match whatever you like!

I especially like their beef rendang. It is spicy, juicy and tender. Their teh tarik is very smooth and does not leave a 'siap' taste on the tongue. mad

Spending per head: Approximately $8(Lunch)
