Yummy Frog Porridge Smile Sep 28, 2013

Ginger Scallion Sauce

Ginger Scallion Sauce

They are famous for their frog porridge. I usually crave for a bowl of frog porridge on cold and rainy days. G7 Sinma Live Bull Frog Claypot Porridge never fails to let me down. I usually order the Ginger Scallion Sauce. The frog is nicely cooked in the sauce and it is not tough. If you fancy some thing spicy, you can try the Dry Chili Sauce. It is quite spicy and one can really sweat after eating. tongue

I have also tried their frog porridge in another outlet but i still prefer this outlet's frog porridge. Perhaps it is the cook? mad

If you are fan of sushi, Itacho Sushi is a must go place!!

Their sushi menu has more variety than their bento sets. Sometimes they will offer different items in their menu and offer them at as low as half price!! All the photos uploaded in this review are almost 50% off, except for the Baked Stuffed Crab. It is seasonal and I feel that this dish does not justify the amount I paid for it. sad

However, the rest of the items are FANTASTIC!! I love their Salmon Lobster Roll! Each mouthful is filled with freshness and sweetness of the raw salmon and lobster salad. YUM YUM! lol

The Fried Squid is also a must try. It is fried and mixed in salad dressing with roe and cucumber, very refreshing dish! tongue

Switch by Timbre is a new chill out place, fully air-conditioned with cozy ambiance. Love and I usually order the Roasted Duck pizza. However, this time round we ordered a half and half pizza, a mix of Roasted Duck and Timbre Hawaiian. We still prefer the Roasted Duck. But must consume the pizza fast because once it is cold, the duck is a bit tough. We also ordered the Timbre Chicken Wings, it was well marinated and perfectly deep fried. YUM YUM!! lol

If you are not a fan of alcoholic drinks, you can order the House Cooler (the one in green - apply flavor), there are a lot of flavor such as strawberry, passion fruit... ... The other drink is Snowball and i prefer it over beer.

Overall it's a great place to chill and enjoy good food with great music! smile

If you are looking for something filling and not very sinful, try this steamboat buffet! This outlet at Bugis+ is quite big but the table arrangement is quite poor. At times 3 person has to squeeze into a 2 person table. After getting our ingredients from the buffet counter, there is not much space to place them on our table.

There are a few soup bases for you to choose and you can try 2 out of the few choices! I usually order the Soya Sauce and the Kimichi soup bases. The food taste better after boiling in them. I love their beef and pork that are thinly sliced and being cooked in a matter of seconds! Before putting it into your mouth, dip them into a bowl of sesame sauce which you can request from the waiter or waitress. The combination is great and I just can't stop cooking another slice and another slice... ....tongue

Fruit Tart Smile Sep 24, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Desserts and Cakes

If you are a fan of fruit tart, Fruit Paradise is a MUST go place!! After trying their fruit tart once, i fell in love with them! The tart is freshly made and has a great combination of sweetness and sourness from the fruits. Personally, I love their mango and strawberry tart. This crepe tart is new in their menu, hence i gave it a try. The thin layers of crepe together with the cream melts in the mouth and it taste lovely with a cup of freshly brew flower tea.

Their flagship store is at Vivo City however the space is quite cramp and usually packed. This outlet at Plaza Singapura is spacious. It is a great place for afternoon tea with a bunch of friends.

Recommended Dish(es):  Mango and strawberry tart

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Tea)
