Ah Heng Curry Chicken Bee Hoon Mee serves one of the best Curry Chicken Noodles! The queue is always long during lunch hour. At times, I queued for 15 minutes for a bowl of piping hot Curry Chicken Noodles. After each order, the stall owner will cook the noodle of your choice and chop the chicken parts of your choice (chicken drumstick is more expensive) and place them in a bowl. He will then scoop some curry and ‘rinse’ the bowl noodle a few times. There are also fish cakes, tau pok and potato in each bowl and the portion is very generous. The curry is thick and flavorful. You can also add more dry chilli paste if you prefer your curry hot and spicy.

Wife’s Favourite Carrot Cake Smile Nov 03, 2013

My wife will also order the carrot cake from this stall whenever we go to the market. Its pan fried till the outer layer is crispy. The chili makes the carrot cake taste nicer with a bit of a sweet after taste. This stall have been invited to Singapore Day in Sydney. That shows how famous it is among Singaporeans. They are open only in the morning and closes at about 1pm.

Favourite Fish Ball Noodles Smile Nov 03, 2013

Fish ball noodles have always been one of my favourite food and this shop have been my favourite stall. They give a generous portion for their Xiao Wan Mian. They give 2 vegetable ball, 2 meat ball and 3 fish ball on top of the regular ingredients at the price of $3.50. The portion of noodles is also rather generous too… They usually open in the morning and closes by 1pm. Like most stalls in Singapore, they close on Mondays. lol

40 cents Sushi? Smile Nov 02, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Itacho Sushi offers sushi for as low as 40 cents! Yes, 40 cents for salmon with soya sauce sushi. Each diner is only limited to 2 pieces and tends to be sold out fairly quickly. I don’t think it is very nice because it is a thinly sliced salmon skin with some fats and even thinner salmon flesh. It has some fishy smell too. Apart from that, other discounted items such as cold soba with seasoned scallop, spicy salmon sushi and salmon lobster roll are delectable! The cold soba with seasoned scallop is chilled and very refreshing. The spicy salmon sushi is filled with spicy salmon and the sweetness from the beancurd skin complements it. The salmon lobster roll is really worthy. It is fresh and the salmon just melts in your mouth. Yummy! smile

2 Set Lunch at $19.90 Smile Nov 02, 2013

Feeesh ‘n Cheeese

Feeesh ‘n Cheeese

Manhattan Fish Market is having lunch promotion, 2 set lunch at $19.90! It includes 2 mains and 2 soups. This offer is valid for Spicy Baked Fish, Spicy Seafood Sea-esta, Savory Seafood Sea-esta, Grilled Glory Dory, Spicy Tuna Spaghetti, Chicken of Liberty, Spicy Seafood Olio and Feeesh ‘n Cheeese. I ordered my all-time favorite from Manhattan Fish Market, fish and chips with added cheese (Feeesh ‘n Cheeese)! The batter is very crispy and the fish inside is moist and soft. The tar tar sauce and cheese complements perfectly with the fish and chips. The soup of the day is tomato soup. It is a little creamy and smooth, unlike minestrone soup.
