My Favorite Pig's Organ Soup Smile Nov 24, 2013

Cheng Mun Chee Kee Pig’s Organ Soup is one of my favorite comfort food in Singapore. Walk towards the order station, state your order, indicate your table number and wait for your orders to be served. They have recently opened up another area for dining hence there are plentiful of space. For $3.70, you will get a piping hot soup filled with pig’s organ. It is pepper and yet not overly salty. Best of all, you can refill your soup when it is running low!

Cozy Japanese Restaurant Smile Nov 24, 2013

Sangokai Japanese Restaurant is a petite restaurant located at Beach Road. You will be greeted by friendly staffs once you stepped into the restaurant. There are a variety of foods in the menu, from sashimi to cooked food. I ordered a grilled salmon with mentai sauce which comes with rice, soup, salad, sides and fruits. The salmon is perfectly cooked and the rice is moist and delicious.

Molten Chocolate Cake

Molten Chocolate Cake

If you are looking for good and filling western food, head down to Chili’s. Their signature Pulled Pork Burger is superb. Served with a generous serving of french fries, if you are not a big eater, it’s better to share the set with someone.  They even have free-flow drinks for just $7. With a pub like set up, you can just sit there and chill with your friends and enjoy the free-flow drinks. If you are a chocolate lover, don’t forget to order their signature Molten Chocolate Cake. A chocolate cake with hot fudge filling topped with chocolate coated vanilla ice cream. Delicious!!!

Thai-Indonesian Cuisine Smile Nov 04, 2013

Feels like going back in time when I first stepped into this cozy restaurant located at 44 Kandahar Street. The restaurant is fully decorated with vintage stuff. Before ordering, I can’t help but to keep looking around for interesting decorations. We ordered four dishes – cold tofu, green curry chicken, vegetable and coffee pork rib. They served rice in a wooden weaved basket and it is refillable! The coffee pork rib is the star among all dishes. It is lightly scented with coffee and the taste is sweet with slight bitterness. smile The vegetable is well stir fry and delicious. The cold tofu is normal and I think it is not worth the price.

40 cents Sushi? Smile Nov 02, 2013

Itacho Sushi offers sushi for as low as 40 cents! Yes, 40 cents for salmon with soya sauce sushi. Each diner is only limited to 2 pieces and tends to be sold out fairly quickly. I don’t think it is very nice because it is a thinly sliced salmon skin with some fats and even thinner salmon flesh. It has some fishy smell too. Apart from that, other discounted items such as cold soba with seasoned scallop, spicy salmon sushi and salmon lobster roll are delectable! The cold soba with seasoned scallop is chilled and very refreshing. The spicy salmon sushi is filled with spicy salmon and the sweetness from the beancurd skin complements it. The salmon lobster roll is really worthy. It is fresh and the salmon just melts in your mouth. Yummy! smile
