Chicken Cutlet Fried Rice

Chicken Cutlet Fried Rice

This western food stall is hidden away in a small coffee shop under a HDB block. You will definitely miss it if you don’t know about its existence. But there is always a long queue during peak meal hours. The good thing is that you can call up to make your order before heading down to dine in or takeaway. The cutlet fried rice is worth trying. It has fried rice, chicken cutlet and a sunny side up egg. I like their cutlet as it is not too fatty or oily. The proportion of meat and bread crumbs is just nice. It cost only $6.50.

Cheap and good western food Smile Nov 25, 2013

If you are really hungry and have a craving for western food, this is the place for you. This is the cheapest western food with a good environment that I have been to. For just $13.90, you can choose 2 different type of chicken chop with different sauce. On top of that, you get to choose 2 side orders from their menu of more than 10 choices. But be warned, only order the double chicken chop only if you are very hungry or you are sharing with someone. lol

Recommended Dish(es):  Teriyaki Chicken

Tasty Tao Sar Piah Smile Nov 25, 2013

Whenever I drive pass Balestier, my wife would ask if I can stop by 603 Tao Sar Piah to buy some for our family. Their Tao Sar Piah is very fresh and it is always warm when you eat it immediately. We will always but a mix of sweet and salty ones. The pastry is not hard and the filling is just the right proportion. When you sink your teeth into it, be assured that you will have both the pastry and the fillings in your mouth. The moment is just priceless. It only cost 70 cents each.. lol

Kong Ba Bao

Kong Ba Bao

If you are not very full after a meal and feel like eating something with a small serving, this is the something that will suit you. The bao is only about 4cm in diameter. You can finish it up in 1 mouth. It cost 60 cents for 1 bao and there have quite a lot of varieties to choose from. Any flavour that you can find in a normal sized bao, you can find them here. Queuing can be rather long at times as some customers order a few boxes at a go. So be prepared to wait….

First time trying… Smile Nov 25, 2013

This is the first time I am trying the ban mian from this store. The mian is not pre-made from factory. When you make your order, the assistant will cut the mian on the spot. The end product of the mian gives you a QQ feeling when you chew on it. They added some new ingredients into the dish. They have mushroom and fried garlic. This added a new taste to the traditional ban mian. Nice if you want to try a different kind of ban mian.

Spending per head: Approximately $3
