Claypot rice OK Feb 22, 2014
Categories : Hawker Centre

We had been eating their food for some time. recently, they closed their stall at zion riverside food centre, and moved to Beo Crescent food centre. It is opened by a ex chef from marriot hotel. Their claypot rice is superb. The chicken is well marinated, very tender and smooth. The salted fish in it taste great too. Would ask them to ask more dark sauce.. The rice is of the right texture... S $3.80 for a claypot of goodness! Strongly recommended! They also sell assorted type of soup, and steam salted egg pork rice etc. A must try stall!

Lor mee and wanton mee OK Feb 22, 2014
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

This lor mee only cost $2.50.. cheap and not bad.. the thick gravy doesnt go watery easily when I am eating it. They are very generous in term of the ingredients. The Fried item in it, is very crispy even though is soaked in the thick gravy for some time. The mee itself is smooth and blend well with the gravy.

Recently under the same name, they opened a wanton mee stall, just few stalls away. Heard that it is opened by the son of this stall..

The wanton mee is not bad, the noodles is qq, quite different from usual tyype of wanton mee.. the chilli is great, however as the wanton is cooked and left on tray for some time, so it is hard when served.

Soupy wanton mee OK Feb 22, 2014

There used to be 2 chicken rice stall at Zion River side hawker centre.. it is just right beside of each other. their chicken is not bad, but not tender enough, the rice abit too oily and chilli abit too sour.. I always order their soupy wanton mee, as I like the soup. the cha siew is thick and fragrant... And the noodles is springy, but slightly hard... Recommended their soupy wanto mee!

Yummy dumpling noodles OK Feb 22, 2014

One of my favorite wanton mee stall.. I am a big eater, so I would always add $1 noodles... Their noodles is qq and springy. would always ask me more dark sauce and chilli! their wanton and soup taste kind of bland, so would always eat their dry version. Their shrimp and pork dumpling is fresh and good.. and the skin of the dumpling isnt too thick.. I also like the tasty cha siew.. so if I order dumpling noodles, I would add $1 cha siew to it.

Their food is freshly made. Eg their chee cheong fun.. with prawn, chasiew, mushroom, abalone choice as filling. They made the chee cheong fun on the spot when we order. I like the prawn chee cheong fun.. the skin is thin and very smooth. They is cabbage in it.. usualky I will ask them nt to put it . As for the cha siew too little and is quite hard. Prefer their prawn chee cheong fun. They also sekl fried rice, congee etc..

I tried their seafood congee, quite bland but generous ingredients and smooth texture
