A Different Kind of Chicken Smile May 31, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal | Burgers and Sandwiches

Texas Chicken is a new joint that I tried the other day. The outlet at Nex looks big but the seating area is a little squeezy. The Chicken tenders were huge and generous portions, while the Wrap was filled to capacity with chicken and vegetables. The mashed potato and coleslaw were equally good. I will definitely be back for more.

Pizza Hut's New Menu Smile May 30, 2011

Categories : Pasta | Halal

Pizza Hut has introduced a new menu, in addition to its Pizza and Pasta menu and it has special set lunches as well. Decided to try the set lunch - which included chicken soup, a drink and a main course. The chicken soup was clear and full of chicken meat and vegetables - a very healthy start indeed. The calamari rings were good - though the portion was small. The Fish and Chips were tasty and not too salty - a big portion.
The Chicken Chop was also a big serving and came with fries and vegetables. It was a good change from the usual pizza. The service was good and fast.

This stall is the Food Junction at Nex in Serangoon Central.
The Bee Hoon Goreng is delicious. it is served with cucumber and a special sauce.
The noodles taste great when eaten with the sauce.

Chanced upon this restaurant at Ang Mo Kio Hub.
Was attracted by the local menu - laksa and chicken curry; so, decided to give it a try.
The menu had an extensive range of Japanese and Western food.
The presentation of the coffee was pleasing to the eye - especially due to the Oreo cookie that sat pretty, next to it.
The Laksa was OK, the portion was quite small, so I wouldnt say it was good value for money, but the overall ambience of the restaurany was good!
The service was good, though it could have been better.

Categories : Asian Variety | Indian | Restaurant

This restaurant is one of Singapore's oldest
Indian restaurants and a household name.
This outlet is located in the heart of the Little India Arcade.
Had the White Rice sets with vegatables and Masala chicken, as well as Pepper chicken.
The vegetables were non spicy and spicy - the cabbage was good.
The two types of chicken are specialities at this restaurant.
The spices added give both their distinctive taste that brings customers back for more.
We also tried the fish cutlets - they were tasty and full of flavour as well.
The Indian soup (raasam) can be drunk like a soup or added to white rice.
When added to white rice, the rice is wonderful to eat.
The two types of chicken go well with it , too.
This is great if you dont want too much curry.
The raita - an Indian salad - is a pleasing addition to the meal.
Overall the food was good, but the restaurant was crowded and noisy at lunch time.
However the prices were reasonable and service was fast.
