Korean Rice Cake Beef Broth

Korean Rice Cake Beef Broth

They're currently having some Korean soups as their Chef's Specials. I got myself the Korean Rice Cake Beef Broth which consisted of beef cubes, sliced rice cakes, shredded omelette, zucchini, carrots and leeks. It was a really nice comforting bowl of stew that was healthy yet hearty. A pity that the portion somehow seems smaller than how it used to be.

I also got myself the Chilled Vietnamese Summer Rice Roll as part of the set meal, which consisted of rice paper, brown rice, tofu, lettuce, julienned carrots & cucumber etc. It was nothing like the normal rice paper rolls you get at Vietnamese restaurants and this tasted very very healthy, if you get what I mean tongue

Pepper Pig Stomach Ginko Soup

Pepper Pig Stomach Ginko Soup

This is the perfect soup for cold rainy days! There was alot of pig stomach slices and a fair bit of ginko in the soup. I also found some barley & tofu skin at the bottom of the bowl. It was all very yummy but the star of the show was definitely the soup! It was flavoury and peppery, perfect for warming yourself up on a cold day. Best thing is your get a free one time soup refill, how awesome is that!

Rice with sliced potato, eggplant & japchae

Rice with sliced potato, eggplant & japchae

I always eat from this shall whenever I'm at Shaw's Food Republic. This time I got the plain rice with stir-fried potato, eggplant, japchae and seaweed. I forgot to stir my rice this time and it ended up a bit burnt because it's served in a hot stone bowl. The rice portion seem significantly lesser then the first two times I was there. I really liked the japchae, whereas the other dishes were ok but nothing to shout about.

Spending per head: Approximately $7(Dinner)

Taj Mahal Wrap Smile Nov 17, 2014

Taj Mahal Wrap

Taj Mahal Wrap

The Taj Mahal wrap consisted of tandoori chicken, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and red onions in a mint yoghurt dressing. I chose the spinach wrap and I really liked this combination because you can clearly taste the flavourful tandoori chicken paired with the healthy crunch of the various vegetables. The wrap was really big and kept me full (but I didn't feel bloated at all) all the way till dinner. Will definitely order this again!

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Lunch)

We were here on a Thurs evening and it was full house with quite a number of people in the queue. It was supposedly a 50 min wait for me, but I got a table after just 10 mins! smile

Roasted Pistachio Soft Serve with Petite Waffle

Roasted Pistachio Soft Serve with Petite Waffle

I got the Roasted Pistachio for myself and the flavour was pretty intetesting! It tasted like fried garlic chips which I quite liked. What I really liked was the waffle! It was crisp yet fluffy and really fragrant. I could just have the waffle alone with some maple syrup and it'll still be super satisfying!

Spending per head: Approximately $9
