Western Food! Smile Mar 02, 2014

First time here and decided to try out its Chicken Chop Meal ($6.00). This stalls, just like other usual Western Stalls, serves the usual few dishes, Spring Chicken, Fish & Chips, & Chicken Cutlet etc.

The Chicken Chop was accompanied by a thick gravy, fries, beans and a bread. The gravy was amazing, not diluted and taste superb with the bread and the chicken chop. The fries were also very crispy. The chicken chop was well marinated and well grilled. Worth a try if you're in the vicinity.

Cotton Candy!  Smile Mar 02, 2014

Categories : American | Coffee

Decided to try something different from the usual Spearmint Green Tea, Lemon Shaken Tea and juices. Bought the Cotton Candy ($8.20 for large size).

It was one of the special drinks that you'll have to tell the barista at Starbucks, Cotton Candy cannot be found on the menu. Its actually made up of raspberry and cream. Cotton Candy was well blended with the whipper cream, but still far too sweet. Its also a little overpriced, $8.20 for a cup of cotton candy. Nevertheless, the staffs at Starbucks is always very friendly and courteous!

Dim Sum Cry Mar 02, 2014

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Dim Sum

Decided to head over to Crystal Jade for some dim sum and lunch before shopping at Tampines Mall. Ordered two of its Dumpling noodles, and some dim sums, including the chives dumpling, fried carrot cake and siew mai. The dumpling noodles were really dry, noodle is not 'Q' at all, no taste and the sauce is also very diluted. The dumplings were great, with lots of fresh ingredients inside, but the quality of the noodles had definitely pull the quality of the whole dish down. For $7.90, I think I can get much better quality noodles than this one. The Chive Dumplings and Fried Carrot Cake were also very disappointing. The chive dumplings were being fried, the skin of the dumpling was surprisingly crispy, but the filling inside is still not really cooked and the filling inside is definitely too little. The fried carrot cake has also no taste, it doesn't comes with any condiments like chilli sauce as well. The siew mai is the one that is rather edible only. Siew Mai is pretty good, fresh prawns were used. The total bill after GST & service charge came up to $33+ for two person. I believe the next time I'm back at Crystal Jade, will definitely go back to its Roasted Delicacies, which is definitely thousand times better than the noodles and dim sum.

WingZONE!  Smile Mar 02, 2014

Was so glad that there's a new Chicken Stall at the entrance of Century Square, there's plenty of seats, definitely enough for 60-70 people. The menu was very detailed, staff was really friendly and to keep the customers entertained while waiting for the food to be ready, there's an projector screen that plays different food videos from all around the world.

Ordered the 9pcs Boneless Honey Wings. In the FlavourZone, there's 4 level of spiciness, first level is not spicy at all, second level is mild, third level is hot and fourth level is of course, fiery hot. Decided to kick off with the first level, thus ordered the Honey Boneless Wings with Wedges for $12.95. Decided that I want to add some Bleu Cheese to enhance my experience at WingZone, for a mini cup of Bleu Cheese, it costs $0.75, which is definitely reasonable.

Waited for about 15 minutes for the chickens to be ready. The boneless chicken is definitely much better as compared to WingStop at Bedok Mall, taste of the BBQ sauce is not too sweet, chicken is also not hard or stiff. Although, for $12.95, the amount of wedges and the size of chicken is kind of too small. The bleu cheese was rather diluted, not really recommended.
Otherwise, I will definitely be back for more chickens, hopefully with a higher level of spiciness!

Pizza Date!  Smile Mar 02, 2014

Ordered from Domino Pizza once again! I was really satisfied with its guarantee of 30 minutes pizza delivery, or a free regular pizza will be yours on your next delivery. For $22.80, you can get 2 Regular Pizzas of your choice and with their current new promotion, you just have to pay $18.60 for a can of coke/sprite, one box of garlic onion rings and a regular pizza and of course, with free delivery!

This time, instead of the original Hawaiian, decided to try its BBQ Pizza, without onion (I'm a non-onion person except onion rings!). The Pizza was of course, delivery hot! The pizza was filled with chicken bites, and BBQ Sauce! The BBQ sauce is just nice, not too sweet neither too bland and the pizza crust was very crispy and not hard, like usual pizza.

Its Garlic Onion Rings is really fantastic as well! 8 pieces of garlic onion ring, very crispy and you can taste the onion!

Its really a deal to get an Regular Pizza, Onion Ring, drink and also free delivery for only $18.60! Thumbs Up!
