I was around Yew Tee one evening and decided to grab a bread to eat as I was feeling a little hungry. The smell from the bakery made me even hungrier. Quickly, I picked a tuna bun and a mushroom bun. The tuna bun was soft and not too sticky. The tuna fillings were also generous and there was a bit of seaweed at the top of the bun. As for the mushroom bun, the mix of mushrooms and mayo was just nice. Not too soggy or wet. Quite nice.

Swee Heng Bakery has a chain of outlets around Singapore. This time, I was at the Choa Chu Kang outlet to buy some bread after going to my friend's place for work. I tried their blueberry bread with cheese and the bread tasted sweet and cheesy. If you are a fan of jams, you might like this blueberry bread as it is not too sweet. The cheese makes the bread quite sticky though.

I don't normally hang around this area but because of some errands I had to run, I decided to have a meal here. Porridge is always a comfort food and I thought of trying teochew porridge since I'm a teochew. The porridge consistency is quite diluted, I personally prefer it a little thicker. I ordered some vegetables and they all had a home cooked feel to it. For instance, their cabbage and kia chye was not too raw. The salted eggs tasted nice as well.

The breads from this bakery is fresh and there tends to be a crowd in the afternoon. Bought a hot dog bun on my way to meet a friend and it tasted not bad. The bread is sweet and sticky while the hot dog inside was not too salty. Service here is very efficient and friendly, they pack your buns/breads very nicely into the plastic bag.

Passed by this hawker centre and decided to try their nasi lemak. The rice was sufficiently fragrant with a bit of Pandan smell. The portion is relatively small and may not be enough for a hungry jack. For the chilli, its on the sweeter side. A bit overpowering if mixed too much with the rice. My preference will be a bit of it with rice in order not to kill the rice fragrance.
Overall, it tasted ok- average.
