Fish Soup with Rice OK Mar 06, 2011
Categories : Food Court | Chinese Soup

Stopped by for lunch on a weekend after doing some grocery shopping. The food court was very crowded and fortunately we managed to find some seats. I bought a bowl of fish soup with rice and it came in a mini steamboat pot..quite cute. The soup was served piping hot and the rice was fragrant. Love the fried fish and seaweed in the soup. Nice meal to have on a rainy day. NTUC members can get some discounts I heard..

Wanton Mee OK Mar 05, 2011

Was meeting a group of friends for lunch and we decided to try Chomp Chomp's wanton mee! Their noodles are fresh and springy and the wantons were warm and yummy. The char siew however was a little tough to me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the meal with their chili sauce and a separate bowl of soup.

Aunties 'bread-fast' OK Mar 05, 2011
Categories : Bakery | Halal

Bread from this outlet is reasonable and good. My aunty bought me a pack of red-bean buns that costs about $1.50 if I didn't remember wrongly. The filling was too sweet for me though. This outlet is more popular among aunties in the mornings and evenings. More of residents who live around the area that buy their bread. Overall, its okay in taste.

Bakery at LayGek OK Mar 05, 2011

Categories : Bakery | Halal

This outlet is quite quiet in the morning. Probably due to the location thats not so centralized. Theres more of people working around the area that buy bread during peak hours. Quite a lot of uncles and aunties as well. Their custard bread is nice and soft. Good thing the filling tastes not too sweet and the bread is fresh as always. Nice.

Curry Puff OK Mar 04, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Halal

As we passed by OLD CHANG KEE after some grocery shopping, we decided to buy a curry puff while waiting for the car to arrive. It was warm and crispy and I especially loved the thick crust and curry potatoes inside. Very unhealthy though, cause it is deep fried and I could expect getting pimples the next day. Nevertheless, Old Chang Kee is an old favorite so I don't mind having it once in a blue moon.
