Honey Dew Soya Bean Smile Jun 18, 2011
Categories : Desserts and Cakes

I'm quite a fan of Mr Bean's pancakes and soya bean. Few days back, my friend and I stopped by Mr Bean for a drink. I bought a cup of honey dew soya bean milk to try since I've always been having their regular soya bean milk. As I placed my order, I noticed they have a sugar meter where you can request for the sugar level of your drinks just like bubble tea shops! Cool indeed and I decided to go with moderate sugar. The drink was sweetened just o my liking and the sweetness of the honey dew was distinctive. It is a healthy and refreshing drink. Recommended to try.

Roasted Chicken Rice Smile Jun 18, 2011
Categories : Hainanese | Food Court | Chicken Rice | Roasted Meat

The chicken rice here is not too bad. During lunch time, there is a crowd so be sure to come early to avoid the queue! I bought a plate of roasted chicken rice and it comes with a bowl of soup. The chicken rice is fragrant and not too salty. Also, the roasted chicken is not too dry or tough to chew. The cucumber slices were fresh and crunchy. Costs me about $4 if I didn't remember wrongly. Considered a reasonable price since most of the food stalls in Takashimaya are rather pricey.

Raisin Cream Cheese Smile Jun 13, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Bakery | Brunch

I frequent this chain a lot as I find their breads cheap and yummy. There is always a variety to choose from, buns, rolls, cakes and pastries. I bought my usual- raisin cream cheese bread. The bread is soft and fluffy and there is a healthy mix of raisins to go with the sweet cream cheese filling. They bake their cream cheese breads daily and won't keep them overnight to sell again the next day. Best eaten fresh. The staffs are also quick and efficient in packing your breads and handling your cash.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread Smile Jun 13, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery

The Crystal Jade food restaurant is quite a famous place for their chinese cuisines. I decided to try out their bakery outlet for some breads. There were a variety of breads displayed and their bread prices were about the same as compared to BreadTalk's. I ordered a blueberry cream cheese bread to try since I've always been having raisin ones. The blueberry was sweet and the cream cheese filling was satisfying. I do look forward to try out their other breads soon.

Tapioca Smile Jun 13, 2011

I frequent this shop for breakfast as their breads are fresh and delicious. One morning, I bought a small tapioca cake to try. Costs me about a dollar if I didn't remember wrongly and it is surprisingly filling! Sprinkled at the top of the tapioca is some shredded coconut and cheese. Its a very special and yummy combination, tastes very much like those malay kueh keuhs when you bite.
