Muffins <3 Smile Mar 08, 2011

If you love to eat muffins, I would recommend this place. A hot favorite amongst office ladies and residents, the queue is long but worth the wait! There is only 2 outlets in Singapore, one at Shunfu Mart and the other at Tanjong Pagar. My favorite muffin would be their chocolate chip flavor. The muffin is soft and not too sweet. The slightly crispy crown and moist interior of the muffin is to die for. I just love the gooey chocolate chips in the interior. Very reasonable size, excellent muffins. Priced at $1.10 or $1.20 if I didn't remember wrongly. Come early to avoid the wait!

Desserts Smile Mar 07, 2011

I am a dessert lover so I was glad to have stumbled upon this stall for desserts. The auntie was very friendly as she took our orders. I ordered sour-sop jelly with longan and ice since it was a very hot day. My friends had some sweet corn dessert. The sour sop jelly was refreshing and I enjoyed chewing on the juicy longans. I would go back to this stall again to try out their other desserts. Maybe chendol or ice-kachang the next time round! tongue

Char Kway Teow Smile Mar 07, 2011

Whenever I am craving for Char Kway Teow (CKT) , I would head to this outlet which is closest to my place. Much as CKT is an unhealthy dish, it is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. The hum is well cooked, plenty of lap cheong and spring onions. For $2.50 a plate, it is simply one of the simple pleasures of life. Behold the oily CKT, so yummy and good to eat. An occasional indulgence!

BaK Chor Mee Smile Mar 07, 2011

Was meeting a friend nearby here and soon after that I dropped by the hawker center to have a quick bite for lunch. I was looking around for what to eat until I came by a stall with quite a few people queuing. Among the recommended dishes by the auntie, I decided to try their bak chor mee since it has been awhile since I last ate it. The noodles were springy and chewy with nicely marinated mushrooms. The soup was good and one would not feel too thirsty after drinking. If you are a fan of bak chor mee, you should come and try.

Wanton Noodles Smile Mar 07, 2011

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Hawker Centre | Roasted Meat

This stall has a queue from breakfast to lunch to dinner time. I decided to buy a bowl of wanton mee (dry) for breakfast in the morning as I have heard many praises of this stall.
The noodles were al dente and beautifully integrated with the gravy, fat juicy wantons were laid on top of the noodles. The chilli sauce was piquant but not blow your socks off. Also, the soup came on the side, not too salty..just right. I truly recommend this place..their charsiew rice is also very nice!
