Beef Sandwich OK Apr 23, 2012

This sandwich is sort of the quite dry version as the bread used for this sandwich although is consider to be the healthier version, but it is just too hard and is very compact in texture. The thinning sliced beef does not have much taste and is quite dry as well although it is not tough. Not much dressings in the sandwich which even make the whole sandwich tastes even more hard and boring. Though the lettuces, onions and tomato slices are quite generous, it just does not bring out the full flavour of the sandwich. What a pity actually.

Ice Cream Cake OK Apr 22, 2012

Baskin Robbins is really good at making different types of ice cream cakes that cater to all kinds of occasions and celebrations. Have tried their chocolate with vanilla ice cream cake and was really impressed with it. The ice cream texture is really thick and creamy which makes this ice cream cake really tasty and you will be sure to crave for more. The chocolate fudge topped on it is also thick and slightly bitter in flavour and this adds on the extra touch to it. The design really feels like a 'home made' cake which really has that extra factor added to it.

Scallops  OK Apr 22, 2012

A very high-end restaurant which is good for business lunch and also for a romantic meal with your loved one. Tried one of their starter dish which is seared Hokkaido scallops with crunchy vegetables, citrus and anise foam. The anise foam is quite sour and disappears after the first bite of your scallops. The scallops used are quite big and juicy. The side ingredients used in this dish is just alright. This dish is served really cold but I think would be better for them to prepare it as a hotter version.

Pandan Cake OK Apr 22, 2012

Pandan cake from Angie the Choice may look pretty simple and not really that attractive, but actually the taste of it was not too bad and infact may even be better than most of the confectionary shop around us. The sponge is moist and quite soft, really ideal for all ages. The pandan flavour is really fragrant and I believe the coconut milk used during the making of it is also quite generous as well.

Tarimisu cake OK Apr 15, 2012

Qualty and fine texture cake are usual the words that describe the cakes from Rive Gauche Patisserie. Decided to try their tirimisu cake and was quite a mix feeling after tasting it. The cake looks very nice and delicious. However after I tried it, i think the coffee taste is abit to flat and the sponge cake could have been more than add on the texture. The slice is quite small so for their price, I think is abit too expensive. Other flavour cakes also are equally small in portion too. Not really my kind of cakes as I prefer to spend lesser for a bigger slice of cake.
