Ramen Play Smile Apr 25, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen | Kids-Friendly

Strongly recommended by a friend of mine who tried the RamenPlay outlet in Junction 8 @ Bishan. They sell a variety of ramen and bimbibap.

Tried this popular Sanpou Ramen.

The ramen consists of three treasures of toroniku which are braised pork cheek, braised pork belly in char siew sauce and braised pork belly in special sauce. This hearty Tonkotsu ramen is garnished with black onion sauce to enhance its wholesome flavour. The taste is great. The pork is being cooked perfectly so as the ramen was spongy and chewy. Everything goes well with the combination of braised pork and ramen with the soup.

Lao Ban Soya Beancurd Smile Apr 25, 2012

AHA!! Currently the most famous soya beancurd in the town! Went to Old Airport Road Food to try this famous Lao Ban Tau Huey. Was shocked when i reached there because the queue for Lao Ban was very long!! shockedshocked So, i had to queue patiently for my turn mad Wait for around 15 minutes and i bought this plain tau huey. The beancurd is very smooth when sliced. Delicate, fine, silky, slides down your throat. However, the plain beancurd is a little bit sweet to me. Shall try the almond beancurd the next trip! lol

Spending per head: Approximately $2(Tea)

Seoul Garden food are always so yummy as usual!! They even provide student buffet meal on weekdays which suits me well. The price of the buffet is affordable and worthy. There are wide varieties of buffet options ranging from teriyaki beef to the seafood choices such as squid, cockles, prawns, garlic chicken, vegetables, salad. They even provide cooked food. There are three type of soup base for you to choose from which are tom yam, herbal chicken soup. Specially love their self-grilled chicken with their different choices of sauce. It is really yummylicious!! lollol

Besides that, there are free-flow of icre-cream and beverages for you to choose from!!

Sakae Sushi Smile Apr 23, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Sushi/Sashimi | Kids-Friendly

I always love to visit Sakae Sushi as they sell quality Japanese food which are in affordable price.

Kani Chawanmushi ($1.99): My favorite dish which I will order whenever I'm dining in Sakae Sushi. The egg custard was steamed with soup and is really soft enough. The taste are really great with the slices of crab sticks in it. It is best to eat them together.

Tempura Udon ($10.99): The udon with soup comes with fried breaded prawns (tempura in japanese). It is a really big bowl of udon which will makes you full. The soup of the udon taste plain, but it is still delicious. The tempura is very nice, it is not very deeply fried so it is not that oily, so it is a very good combination for the Udon and the Tempura.
