Vegetable Puff OK Jul 30, 2012
Categories : Bakery | Halal

For more than $1 each, I decided to try the vegetable puff instead of the usual chicken puff and found that is it quite a nice puff too! The vegetable puff is stuffed with potatoes, bits of vegetables such as peas and carrots. Overall not too salty a filling and blends well with the crust of the puff! The crust is crispy and not too oily and I actually liked it more than the chicken pie as it is relatively a healthier choice compared to the chicken pie tongue

Yong Tau Foo Laksa! OK Jul 30, 2012

For more than $3 a bowl, this bowl of laksa with yong tau foo has a rich taste and is slightly spicy. The laksa sauce which is the most important sauce taste rich and has a slight coconut taste to it and is slightly oily and spicy. The yong tau foo such as fishballs, tau kwa and tau pok are served fresh and as it is soaked in the laksa sauce, each bite to it has a burst of laksa juice in your mouth! This bowl of noodle is served with bee hoon which is boiled just right and not too soft or hard. Overall not too bad smile

This cup of Machi green tea is for those who loves tea leaves and rich tea flavour! Served with a tea bag soaked in hot water, no other preservatives or sugar is added to this drink and taste really refreshing. The tea leaves has a rich taste and smell of green tea leaves mixed with other types of tea leaves and is a really rich bag of tea leaves that will cater to those who loves tea! Overall not too bad a drink but slightly too blend for me mad

The soon keuh sold is popular amongst residents staying at bedok and each soon kuek taste chewy and soft. Each soon kueh is wrapped with well stuffed vegetables and also sprinkled with black sesame seeds. the vegetables are not too salty and taste well with the wrapping outside. The chili and black sauce are also recommended to go with the soon kueh to heighten the taste. Overall quite a nice soon kueh wich is bite size and really chewy and fresh!

Tako Yaki!  OK Jul 29, 2012
Categories : Japanese

For slightly more than $2, the tako yaki is very popular amongst people who want to find yummy japanese snacks. Served with 3-4 balls per serving, customers have a choice of seafood, octopus, ham and more. The tako yaki is made fresh on the spot and taste best when it is hot. I chose the sea food stuffed balls and it tasted soft. The flour is not too sweet and taste wel when matched with the sea food slices stuffed within. To heighten the taste of tako yaki, each serving is also sprinkled with finely sliced cuttle fish slices and mayo sauce. Overall a really nice snack and recommended to all! smile
