Chocolate Sundae  OK Jul 03, 2012   (Related Review)

For more than a dollar, Macs also sells strawberry sundae but I decided to have the chocolate one as I found the strawberry one too sweet for me and tasted a lot like jam rather than ice cream topping. The chocolate dripping is slightly warm and taste good with the cream. I found it not too sweet compared to the strawberry topping ice cream. The cream is fluffy and the chocolate had a slight taste of coffee in it. Overall a nice ice creamsmile

Curry Puff  OK Jul 03, 2012

Categories : Malay | Hawker Centre

For 50-60 cents each, this stall also sells small snacks such as curry puffs, cakes and many others. The curry puff is stuffed with potatoes only. Beside potatoes, they also have the sardine puff which I did not really like because I found it slightly too salty and spicy. The curry puff is small in size and slightly oily. If you buy it fresh it would be crispy and hot to chew, if not it might be slightly soggy. An ok curry puff, not my favorite

Polar chicken pie! OK Jun 22, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : Singaporean | Bakery

Polar sells a variety of pasteries and puffs and this chicken pie is one of its more popular puffs. The chicken pies are circular and small and suited as a snack. I like the mixture of chickene, potato and carrots bits within the puff. Unlike baker's oven which chose to add mushroom within the puff, Polar uses different types of ingredients to stuff in the puff and the filling is not too salty. Generally a not too bad puff but not fantastic

Chicken mushroom pie  OK Jun 22, 2012   (Related Review)

For slightly more than a dollar each, this chicken mushroom pie smells and taste best when it is served hot. I would recommend you to lightly toast these pies if you were buying them home as it brings out the taste of the chicken better. The crust is slightly crispy and not too oily. The chicken within the pie is not too salty and blends well with the small bits of mushroom stuffed within each pie. Overall not too bad a pie.

Lontong  OK Jun 22, 2012
Categories : Malay | Food Court

This stall seels a variety of malay food ranging from the popular nasi padang to mee rebus, mee sian and chicken rice. This bowl of lontong is not too spicy or sweet and has a generous serving of curry vegetables. The vegetables which I really liked was well cooked and did not absorb too much of the curry oil. The rice cubes in the lontong were soft and slightly chewy and well cooked. There was also a boiled egg within the soup and each bowl though it might appear small is actually quite filling. Overall an enjoyable meal and recommended for lontong lovers
