Mee Soto  OK Jul 03, 2012
Categories : Indian | Malay

For $3.80 per bowl, the soup base was slightly too oily for me and the serving was a little too small for its price. The chicken pieces were well cooked and blended well with the noodle and soup base. However once soaked in the soup base can't really taste the chicken. I would recommend not to have the chili because it was really really very spicy as the chef used chili padi to make the chili. For chili lovers you might want to try it but do prepare a bottle of water with you! mad

Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo  OK Jul 03, 2012
Categories : Food Court | Noodles

Quite a famous yong tau foo stall, I have tried this a few times and found it generally nice to eat. The noodles are springy but a little too hard and would have been better if boiled slightly longer. The noodles are paired with mince meat and mince meat gravy and taste really fragrant and a good combination. The soup however tasted a little sweet probably sugar or msg was added into the soup. But the tau foo in the soup was good, soft and juicy and dipped in the chili the taste of the tau foo was heightened chopstick

Famous heritage brand egg tarts  OK Jul 03, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Bakery

Heard of this famous heritage brand from many people and decided to give it a try since I was in Chinatown. Each egg tart costs around $1.50 and is one of its selling pastries. The egg tart is generally pleasing though slightly oily but still nice as the egg custard is soft and melts in the mouth. Other than the egg tarts, I also decided to try the red bean pastries and char siew su. The red bean pastries was a little too sweet for me but it tasted well with the sesame and well baked. The char siew su melts in the mouth and unlike many other stalls who sell, the filling in the middle was not too sweet.

Han's Grilled Fish  Smile Jul 03, 2012
Categories : Café

Tried Han's for the first time for lunch and found it really good. The grilled fish is succulent and juicy and grilled just right. The fish is not burnt and quite a big serving. Each serving is served with fries and quite a generous serving of vegetables. The fires were not those type you find in Macdonalds and I could actually taste potatoes when I bite into to fries. The salad was quite nice and the sauce that was poured over it wasn't too much and had a slightly sour taste to keep your appetite going. Generally a good meal and highly recommended to all! lol

Chocolate Sundae  OK Jul 03, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : American | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

For more than a dollar, Macs also sells strawberry sundae but I decided to have the chocolate one as I found the strawberry one too sweet for me and tasted a lot like jam rather than ice cream topping. The chocolate dripping is slightly warm and taste good with the cream. I found it not too sweet compared to the strawberry topping ice cream. The cream is fluffy and the chocolate had a slight taste of coffee in it. Overall a nice ice creamsmile
