bur bur cha cha Cry Oct 02, 2012

the ingredients are very sparse. like war ration. a few bits of tapioca bits, a few bits of yam and sweet potato. a lot of watery coconut gravy. the coconut gravy is very fresh and fragrant, so the gravy is good. but with such a small amount of ingredients, it is extremely unsatisfying. cost about $3. could have made this better at home. service is gruff and unfriendly.

great yam buns Smile Oct 02, 2012

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Hawker Centre | Dim Sum

love the yam buns here. the paste is very homemade and very slightly chunky, which is great! i don't like my yam paste too sticky or smooth. some texture is good. the pastry is nice and fluffy and freshly made on the spot. the staff is always polite and friendly. these buns are one of the best in singapore because they are so fresh and just like home made. and reasonable pricing and generous portion. costs about $1.50

nice chee cheong fun Smile Oct 02, 2012   (Related Review)

i like chee cheong fun that is not super thin. the ones here are thick and smooth, although i saw them take it out of a plastic bag, like it's been pre-made for hours. the sauce is nice and sweet. the service is friendly and helpful, but rather slow. costs about $2 for a lot of noodles. there's sesame seeds on top and you can choose to add chillies. i like the noodles with just the brown sauce and without chilli.

this is another one of their heart shaped bread. they seem to change the flavour for the heart shaped bread on a weekly basis. this time it is green and also had no description or price so we just bought it as it looked cute. cost about $3. did not know what the filling really was, but it was a green paste - sort of like lotus pandan paste. and the other half of it was some bean paste. interesting concoction.

hot chocolate OK Oct 02, 2012

the hot chocolate here is not fantastic. the max brenner one is better. this hot chocolate tastes and smells exactly like those pre-mix swiss miss sachets. with milo added. there is not thickness or creaminess. it's like drinking milo with swiss miss. good if that's what you're looking for but we were looking for better. the menu states that some imported european chocolate is used to make this drink but we really could not taste it. costs about $7
