Four Cheese Pizza

Four Cheese Pizza

Four Cheese Pizza definitely a must try pizza. I love the fragrance smell of the cheese and the thin crusty layer of the pizza skin allows our tastebud to savour the sinful cheesy. I had 2 slices and i can't get enough of it.
Bolognese Risotto

Bolognese Risotto

Bolognese Risotto which has rich tomato flavor sauce and goes smooth, creamy and oozy. It's delicious and served in pipping hot.
Chocolate Lava with rum

Chocolate Lava with rum

Chocolate Lava with rum. Truly amazed with the rich molten moist of chocolate that totally blew me away. I love chocolate and this truly gives me a sinful taste of it

Chocolate ice-cream which the presentation attracts us the most. My friend had it all finish by herself within minutes. Simply in love with the desserts.

We are just spoiled with all the delicious foods served.

Waffles With Ice Cream Smile Oct 08, 2014

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Café | Desserts and Cakes | Ice Cream and Gelato

Creamier is no longer a stranger name to those who are on social media and instagram. The instagram worthy photo earned it’s fame with the two scoops ice-cream and 2-tiers waffles. The ice-cream cafe located in a hidden heartland estates in Singapore which is still a walking distance from Toa Payoh MRT station. However, this does not stop people from coming as the cafe is always full house.
We went over on Sunday evening and the place is crowded with people. We are quite lucky that we managed to secure a seat. Orders and payments are made at the counter. We were given a waiting number for the orders to be served.
Approximately 10-15 minutes time, our waffles with Sea Salt Gula Melaka and Dark Chocolate set and Earl Grey Lavendar and Mango Sorbet set are served on the table. Each sets S$11.80 includes the additional per scoop pricing. Waffles with a scoop of ice-cream is S$8.50 but most of the customers will go for two scoops instead.

I personally feel that two scoops are just nice to go with the crispy belgium waffles. I love the fragrance and cripsy texture of waffles. Buttery flavor and surprisingly not plain at all if were to have them without any toppings. The earl grey lavendar was one of my favourite flavor. It has an unique taste of lavender which is quite addictive for me. Sea salt gula melaka has strong and not overwhelming combination flavor which is generally one of the hot favourite by customers.

We also ordered Ice Latte S$5.50 and Iced Tea S$9.00 while waiting for desserts to be served. Drinks are quite decent and secondary to order if you are dropping by. However, I would advise not to drop by during weekend. The place is crowded with people and you need to get prepare to wait for seats or even get your cravings fix in a very short time.

Waffle Session Smile Mar 29, 2014

Waffle Slayer is the new trending waffles café under Stranger’s Reunion. The shop space was expanded next to Stranger’s Reunion. You can read my dinning experience with Stranger's Reunion here.
Waffle Slayer offers varieties of sweet and savoury waffles on top of the existing waffles offered by Stranger’s Reunion. Although the café is mainly on waffles, they do served Stranger’s Reunion menu as well.

I had ordered Apple Almond Crumble Buttermilk Waffles @S$14.90++ for dessert after dinner (Date Visit: 7/3/2014). The waffle texture was soft to our liking but overall is delicious. The crumbles and bits of almonds add in the crunchy taste of it. Combination of the caramelised apples with vanilla ice-cream to compliment with waffles do work wonder to our taste bud.
As for service wise, I felt that there are short handed people for serving. We have difficulties getting attention from the staffs. Nevertheless, the staffs are quite friendly and put on a smile to customers.
The total bill comes with 10% service charges.

Delicious & Generous Serving Smile Nov 14, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Hawker Centre

There are two types of fried carrot cake selling at various hawker stalls and food court. There are the ‘white’ and the ‘black’ version available in Singapore. The white version is generally more popular than the black on in Singapore as compared to neighborhood country, Malaysia.

This time round, I decided to order the black version of carrot cake with dark sweet soy sauce. I paid S$2.00 and the portion was surprisingly generous. It is nicely pan fried with bits of eggs and preserved radish on it.Loving the taste of the wok aroma when I unfold my packing.

The stall owner only offers only 2 types of carrot cake and each time he starts his wok cooking, he will cook few orders at one time. Customer who is so coincidence to have order that version of carrot cake will get the order served immediately.

All orders made by cash payment and the turnover were quite fast. Carrot cakes are served within minutes in piping hot from the stove.

Tonkatsu Cuisine for Dinner Smile Sep 29, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Ramen

We settled at Saboten for dinner after we touched down the flight. Initially we wanted to have Astons for dinner but there was a queue and we decided not to wait anymore as our stomach is growling. The restaurant is not filled up and the seats are available. The staff leads us to our seats with the menu served to us immediately. This is my second visit to the restaurant and the first visit was last year for breakfast brunch.
Here are the orders that we made on that day:-

As usual practice, we had japanese hot green tea to pair with japanese cuisine. It is a well combination. There is no charges for japanese green tea.
All set meals come with free side dish and the cabbage are unlimited.Slices of fresh cabbage was served and it tasted really good with the sauce. Cabbages were shredded to such a delicate thinness is perfect to soak with ponzu vinaigrette.

Every place setting includes a mortar and pestle filled with black and white sesame seeds. Grinding the sesame into a fine powder with self-added serving portion of tonkatsu sauce gives the customers to be interactive with their foods.

Salmon Katsu set @S$20.00. Salmon katsu taste crunchier and smooth in the inside. The set is quite filling with the portion served. Surprisingly the salmon texture isn't dry at all.

Ebi Katsu Tenderloin @ S$26.00. Deep-fried breaded prawn taste like usual tempura. The difference is the outer is more crunchier to bite. The overall set is quite filling with the combination of the tenderloin meat is served in the set.

Tenderloin Katsu set @S$22.00. The pork cutlet is served with golden fried crisp. It's crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It was fried with minimal grease oil and I don't really feel guilty to have it. I also enjoyed the crunchy panko breading on the outside. The tenderloin meat wasn't too dry at all. Dip it with the tonkatsu sauce gives me the sweetness taste of the meat.

All sets comes with a scoop of green tea ice-cream to end the dinner.Total bill S$109.45 inclusive of 10% service charge and 7% GST. Dinning experience was pleasant. The set comes with unlimited Japanese rice. Justin and YL had second round for it. I personally think it is quite a bargain though. The staffs are quite attentive to the customers' needs. They refill our green tea promptly and the serving timing is within 20 minutes. I would say the overall standard of the food quality is good. If I craved for tonkatsu foods, I will consider to pay a visit here.
