Takoyaki @ ion Smile May 29, 2011

I love takoyaki but this particular brand is so so expensive. I bought the cheapest, which cost $3.80 for just 4 pieces. There are others, with egg toppings and also comes with 8 pieces or 6.

It tastes good- cripsy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is abit pricy, but the unique crispy outside is special and it is unlike the other takoyaki that i have eaten. The octopus inside is fresh and the sauce that goes with it is good. Everything seems to be in a good balance, taste really good.

But i recommend to share with friends.. buy the one with 8 pieces. It is more value for money.

Ji de Chi dessert @ bugis Smile May 29, 2011

Ji de chi has a wide range of local desserts..
My favourite one is their SNOW ice. It's not the normal ice you see in hawker centre and food court. It looks like layers of snow.. The overall presentation is rather good for the eye.

I ordered the black sesame with redbean. I ordered this because of the red bean, but too bad, it is not actually red bean. It turns out to be kidney bean=( It is alright, but i dont fancy kidney beans, they are too big to taste good. There is coconut jelly too and the other one which i dont know the name. It is round and transparent and it burst in your mouth, like the japanese fish egg. I dont like it, but my friends love it.

Overall taste is good, the black sesame taste is rich and service is alright.

Cheap and good food at bugis Smile May 29, 2011

in town area, you seldom able to find cheap and good food, except maybe in hawker centre. But you might complain that it is hot..

Tong Seng has aircon in the 2nd level, which few people knows about. I tried this chicken rice today, but i love its mee siam and mee rebus. im a regualr customer here and i love its service too. I never have to bother finding seats for myself, they will do it for me. I never have to wait more than 5-10min for my food to be served to be. And no gst and service charge here. Better than food court, i would say.

Food & service - Excellent.

Popiah @ Albert centre Smile May 28, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre | Brunch

My friend introduce this stall to me when we were at the Albert centre.
One popiah is only $1.30 and we ordered two. It's quite filling just for one and we ate it for tea, without any other food or drinks. The ingredients are fresh and the chilli tastes good! My favourite part is that it does not come with the pork sausage that they usually put inside a popiah, so it tastes fresh and do not taste heavy.
The only minue point is that it is a hawker centre, so the ambience is not so good, especially when it is a hot day.

Birthday @ cedele Smile May 28, 2011

Categories : Café

My friends and I went to cedele to celebrate my birthday. Instead of a cake, they bought me these cute and adorable muffins for me ( they bought a few of them). They look too nice to be eaten and they taste really good. If you are a fan of chocolate, try this! Because they are so rich in chocolate that you will end up asking for more water like me.

The soup is highly recommended, especially if you are having your brunch or intending to have a light meal. The soup is not too thick, and just nice for most of us. It comes with bread so you can have your complete breakfast/brunch/lunch here.

Try it!
