Fried Kway Teow Bee Hoon Smile Sep 23, 2012

Categories : Hawker Centre

gotten mum to dabao this for me as breakfastchopstick..
as usual, the q is long,
but the q clears very fast. smile
mum said this cost about $2.50.
the bee hoon isn't too 'springy',
and the kway teow isn't too oily.lollol
they are very generous towards their chilli too.smilesmile
next, we go to the ingredients,
the taiwan sausage isn't too dry,
unlike those bought at pasar malam.tongue
and the crab meat wrapped in seaweed and fishcake alike,
it's tender and the crab meat doesn't taste of the seafood smell.lol

It's dinner time!
In collaboration with the commencement of F1.
Ex colleague recommended this to me.
This is a Saba and Spicy Chicken combo set.bowlchopstick
It is so worthwhile, because just the Spicy Chicken Hotplate is $6.50,
it comes with Kimchi, Artichokes and Soup!lol
So eating this combo is more worthwhile, isn't it? Especially in the city area.tongue

Let's talk about the food now.lol
It isn't very oily, the Saba Fish is really crispy and especially with the sauce on it,
DELICIOUS!!tongue
As for the Spicy Chicken, it is not too oily and overcook.
You can taste the spiciness and it is very tender!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for the price you paid for.lollol

Categories : Restaurant | Pasta | Kids-Friendly

this is a piece of paper which has been spread over the table before the utensils have been placed.smile

these are the food and beverages menu..tongue

i've ordered prawn, scallop & fish risottobowlbowl..tongue
the food is AWESOME!lol
but what i can say is that the service staff are horrible,
maybe this is still a new restaurant,
they have been serving the wrong orders to many tables including mine!madshocked
whatsmore, from the time till the food is being served,
i've waited for half an hour for it!huffy
even you've asked the staff to expedite,
they'll say 'okok.. it's otw..'

next, to my beverage..
ordered a Mango Lychee Smooothie..
i don't taste of any mangosad,
as for the lychee, it is only 1 piece being place on top.shocked

overall spending is about $35-$40..
i just thinking, if you are here for lunch,
it'll not be recommended due to the longgggg waiting time..sad
but if you are here on a weekend, might still be ok..smile

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Porridge/Congee | Dim Sum

came across this place while walking around in J8 waiting for my friend.smile
so we decided to give it a try.

i ordered iced yuang yang and she ordered cold soya milk.
when the drinks are being served, we wondered for a moment,
why does the yuang yang comes with ice cream.shocked
it tastes more like iced coffee than yuang yang.sad
as for her soya milk, it taste like those canned drink soya milk.sad

next, we go to the main courses.
she ordered beef hor fun (dry),
it comes with slices of beef, carrots & cabbages.
it is something special as we know normally we eat hor fun is in gravy.

i ordered chicken mushroom steamed rice,
taste not bad, but the ginger slices is far too much.sad
every mouthful that i ate is mainly filled with ginger slices.shocked
it comes with a daily soup too, it is carrot & wintermelon soup..
taste kinda salty to me.shocked

after everything, it' DESSERT TIME! loltongue
she ordered yuang yang,
which consist of black seasame & almond,
it's not too sticky or watery,
just nice!lollol

as for mine, i order yam paste.
in love with this.tongue
the coconut milk is served separately in another bowl,
so u can choose to add or not to add.
it's not too sweet unlike some other places yam paste.lollol

the whole meal cost us about $35.tongue

Categories : Japanese | Food Court

it's lunch time!bowlchopstick
first, i would like to say that the stall aunty is friendly & nice,
in the sense that she will repeat yr order,
and prepare the utensils nicely for you.
the preparation of food takes about 3-4mins.lol

next, we go to the food.tongue
like you know, jap curry is meant to be thick,
and it's really thick!lol
there's 3 potatoes cubes in the curry & few pieces of carrots.
tho the preparation of food is quite fast,
the curry and the Katsu is hot.
the Katsu is really crispy.
the soup goes well with the curry rice! loltongue

it cost $5.80 for this meal, feels that it is normal as this is a foodcourt located in Orchard.smile
