I actually got these pretty desserts from the food fair at takashimaya. was attracted by how colorful they are so I bought home a packet of 6 rounded pancakes with assorted flavors and also 6 assorted flavors of the favorite food dorarmon loves (铜锣烧). the rounded pancakes is actually quite dry and I dont really like it. but I love the 铜锣烧 cos its soft and fluffy and the filling is really good creamy and addictive. my favorites are the strawberry cheese and durian. a packet of 12 cakes cost around $10, so the price is still acceptable though.

Finally the massive crowd has dispersed since the opening of jolibee and I decided to go check the food out. Though the queue was still a little long, the process of queuing is still fast and swift. There are 6 - 7 cashiers in duty so I guess that sped up everything. I like how they control the crowd - you have to order your food first and look for a seat later. But doesn't affect me cos I am having a takeaway (the scintillation of the restaurant was quite bad).

I wanted to try their Spaghetti with Chicken but there's only a one chicken option, so I decided to get the 2 pc chicken rice set. One thing to note, you are not allowed to choose your preferred chicken parts.

As a big fan of fried chicken, I feel that the chicken is a so-so, not that much of a wow factor, though I think the chicken skin is crispy and nice. The rice is wrapped up and look like a burger and it was cold though when I start digging in. The sauce for the rice tasted okay too. Overall I think I will just stick to my favorite Popeyes and Texas Chicken if I'm craving for some fried chicken in future.

I had the Papaya Soup Pork Chop Noodles in Xin Wang. This dish has always been my favorite because I love the soup a lot. If I am not wrong it is simmered and boiled with big pork bones using some hidden recipe to achieve the tasty taste! I got addicted to the soup and will always finish off the whole bowl of soup. The noodles in this dish are the wonton mee noodles and often it is cooked perfectly with the bouncy kind of texture. The pork chop is a little overcooked because it tasted a bit tough and difficult to chew. I think I will change to chicken chop in future.

I gotta know this pow sing restaurant from my ex colleagues as they recommended the signature white chicken rice tasted really good. Since I was around the area, I decided to give it a try. I ordered half the white chicken to share with my friend and indeed the chicken tasted as good as what I was being told. It is smooth and well marinated and the chicken meat is very tender. The sauce of the chicken is sweet and flavorful and goes well with the chicken fragrant rice. The restaurant is not that crowded during weekday night, but I think it will be filled with people during weekends so reservations are recommended.

I guess this is the place for frog legs since I have been receiving a lot of recommendation from my friends. So I decided to go check it out. The place is quite crowded during a weekend night so advice is: Come early if you are lazy to wait! Not too sure about the crowd on weekdays though, but I guess it will be similar since it is so famous. I have the Kong Pow Frog Legs in Claypot and the fragrance of it when it arrived is heavenly. The kong pow sauce is thick and spicy, a little sweet too and all these tastes blended well to the frog legs which tasted very good. The meat is very tender and taste like chicken. It doesn't have any muddy taste as well! Definitely live up to its name and popularity!
