Thank God for Seah Im OK Apr 17, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre | Halal

Seah Im food centre where a lot of people go to eat when they come back from Sentosa... You will probably know that when a place is really good when it comes to good food... Thaksin is one of them... I have tasted beef noodles before and honestly this didnt cut as one of the best beef noodles..

However, you cant complain because it doesnt burn a hole in your pocket.. simply fantastic and not abusing to the pocket... The beef was pretty ok and the soup base... the most important thing in the soup was nehhh but still edible... lol

Will come back here but i will have to see if i am in the area...

Dont disgrace Nasi Padang OK Apr 17, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Malay | Food Court | Rice

As i mentioned before... i know this is orchard and prices are meant to be expensive... perfectly clear... I get that...

The portions however should be a bit more generous... i cant explain myself further...

Wondered what to get at Orchard Opera Ion Food court... Saw the price and said... wow i better get gold after eating this... (You know what i mean)...

Ordered a plate of white rice... if i am not wrong... that is one serving of rice meaning it is a smaller bowl... then ordered egg sambal, vegetable which is a must and chicken curry... Sounds normal? okay wait...

Chicken curry from what i know is that the chicken will be in the curry so that the full flavor can be established... No... they took the chicken which was on the plate..... put it in the curry.... stir it a bit as if it was a toy and then served it to me... at this point i flipped and when i asked how much was it... $6.50? okay sure no problem... It wasn't even nice and all but like i said...I can pay that price for Nasi Padang but respect it... I don't usually see like Char Kway Teow (Fried Noodles) where the noodles are already and then they cook the basic cockles, Chinese sausages and beansprouts and put it together and "Wala" its done..

As for the fried noodles.. it is a different story altogether... The service was just okay only.. nothing fantastic... Call me whatever you may want but seriously i took as much Sambal Belachan (Shrimp paste chili).

The question is if i will be back there? I am not sure but that's the truth... I hate to complain but this is what I know from what I ate.

Have you ever walked alone at night and saw this girl... She looks super scary.... I swear...

Anyways... there was one night... i was feeling quite sick after a long week at work... I finally had a chance to chill and the place for dinner was at wendys! Whoo...

I had to choose a healthy lifestyle but it is said salad with a lot of thousand island sauce is really really bad.... so i did not add that in... it was the boiled or roasted chicken caesar salad... Fresh and refreshing...

It was also the day that i discovered that double cheese potato is really unhealthy... but it was worth a trial...

I paid something like $9... why dont they have salad meals....

New York New York... Located on the east coast in the US has come here to the in Singapore because finally NEW YORK NEW YORK has COME BACK TO Singapore... I just had to do that...

Haha ok so after church i chilled with my friends talking nonsense at this place. We both ordered fish and with the constant battle of my weight loss regime... i decided to order the fish devil or something like that... with the change of sides to mash potato... so sad no baked potato...

Very nice as i added the lemon seasoning... Too bad....the flour and batter was not as good i think it wasnt cook well enough but ehh... im good......

My friend she ordered the grill fish with lemon sauce... Not bad according to her...

We were both still hungry so we ordered the waffle with maple syrup to share... hmm what an amazing combination served with vanilla ice cream... such a delight... i couldnt decide on what to say as it was AWWWWWWEEEEEESSSSSSOOOOMMMMEEE!!

Paid around $50 for all 3 dishes and yum.. did my usual walk to burn the calories afterwards.

Staff was friendly and prompt served within 15mins upon ordering?

I really really really wanna try out the burger challenge... i know i can do it...! smile

First time eating dim sum Smile Apr 16, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim Sum | Seafood

If you ever fallen in love... you know its an awesome and complicated feeling... i dont know how to explain it... This was exactly how i first met dim sum...

It was my 3rd month in my unit and we were having a cohesion and we decided to head over to ah yat for dim sum... I honestly had no idea how to eat dim sum or didnt know what it was... so we headed over plates by plates kept on arriving and arriving and so i thought... wow this really is dim sum?? hmmm something that existed and i didnt even try...

Anyways... the siew mai was the highlight for me apart from the char siew bao.... Very nice... Completely speechless...

We paid some more to eat and to try out other stuff... for me... i was contented once i ate the pork ribs... nothing else really matters from there...

I loved the decor of the place... quite relaxing... and there were nice tables... so i guess it was pretty good for me...
