As i mentioned before... i know this is orchard and prices are meant to be expensive... perfectly clear... I get that...
The portions however should be a bit more generous... i cant explain myself further...
Wondered what to get at Orchard Opera Ion Food court... Saw the price and said... wow i better get gold after eating this... (You know what i mean)...
Ordered a plate of white rice... if i am not wrong... that is one serving of rice meaning it is a smaller bowl... then ordered egg sambal, vegetable which is a must and chicken curry... Sounds normal? okay wait...
Chicken curry from what i know is that the chicken will be in the curry so that the full flavor can be established... No... they took the chicken which was on the plate..... put it in the curry.... stir it a bit as if it was a toy and then served it to me... at this point i flipped and when i asked how much was it... $6.50? okay sure no problem... It wasn't even nice and all but like i said...I can pay that price for Nasi Padang but respect it... I don't usually see like Char Kway Teow (Fried Noodles) where the noodles are already and then they cook the basic cockles, Chinese sausages and beansprouts and put it together and "Wala" its done..
As for the fried noodles.. it is a different story altogether... The service was just okay only.. nothing fantastic... Call me whatever you may want but seriously i took as much Sambal Belachan (Shrimp paste chili).
The question is if i will be back there? I am not sure but that's the truth... I hate to complain but this is what I know from what I ate.
