Swedish Beef Balls OK Jun 04, 2011

Categories : Western Variety | Kids-Friendly

Ikea has always been known for its delicious beef balls. However, the standard seemed to have dropped a little. The beef balls were a bit hard and the taste of pepper was slightly strong. The beef balls does not have the distinct smell of beef which people dislike. The beef balls were served with a brown sauce, raspberry jam and potatoes. I liked to eat the beef balls with the sauce together with the jam. The potatoes were very soft and fluffy but I am not a lover of potatoes so I did not finish them.

Beancurd OK Jun 04, 2011
Categories : Desserts and Cakes

I ordered the beancurd as I was going home in the afternoon. There was not much of a queue.

The beancurd is very smooth, sweet enough, and has a slight taste of the beans. The sugar syrup was all settled at the bottom, so do remember to stir it a little. It is healthy and great for a light afternoon snack.

Apart from the beancurd, the stall sells a variety of other pancakes too.

Cheese and Cranberry Bread OK Jun 02, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery

I saw this round shaped bread with lots of sesame seeds and sunflower seeds, so I decided to buy and give it a try. I guessed the sesame and sunflower seeds are to enhance the taste. It has a light yellow appearance. The bread has buttery and cheesy smell. It tastes a little salty due to the cheese. There is a mixture of saltiness and sourness at point where you bite the cranberry. It will be better if there are more cranberries.

Mee Goreng OK May 31, 2011

Categories : Western Variety | Kids-Friendly

The Ikea Restaurant is a popular place for meal and is definitely crowded during lunch hour. I decided to give the Mee Goreng a try on this occasion and I was disappointed. The Mee Goreng comes with a fish cake, an otah and a piece of fried chicken. The noodles were sticky and a little overcooked and soggy. It was pretty spicy too. The fish cake tasted normal like the usual ones that can be gotten from market. The otah does not taste like the usual, traditional otahs and was pretty salty. The chicken tastes pretty decent as it was well seasoned and tender.

Red Bean Bun OK May 31, 2011

Categories : Bakery

Four leaves breads is one of the successful bread shops in Singapore with many outlets. The breads from this shop never fail to deliver.

The Red Bean bread tasted fresh and soft with a light tinge of butter flavour. Inside the bread is a generous filling of red bean taste that is not too sweet which will not make the throat uncomfortable. To make the bread slightly aesthetically pleasing, they added 3 pieces of almond chips onto it. For me, I think the size of the bread a little small.
