This is my first time trying durian tart so I was filled with anticipation and curiosity. However, it appears that the tart is not made of genuine durian. It tastes as though there is some gula melaka in it. Above the tart, there is a layer of green paste which taste like kaya to me. The crust is soft and not of the crispy kind. It has a light butter taste. Overall, I think the tart is not very appealing.

This is definitely a place to come, and to come again. A nice cozy little restaurant located in Mandarin Gallery, with a nice relaxing ambiance. The menu was written on the board, with iPad showing the photos of the food. All the food certainly looks good and I had such a tough time deciding.

I ordered the california breakfast, which was scrambled egg with tofu, peppers, mushroom and herbs, on ciabatta. The egg was light and fluffy, and has the nice herb taste. Everything is mixed nicely and complements each other.

I will definitely come back again for the food and place.

We were here quite at night after dinner time, and there was not much of a crowd around. I am such a lover of mango and had to ordered the mango pomelo sago.

The mango was sweet and a little sour. It was better without the pomelo, as it was a little bitter. The first few mouthful were perfect - sweet and creamy. Towards the end, I found it too sweet.

This was one of the more popular stalls in the foodcourt and the crowd cannot be wrong. There was quite a variety of choices and I chose the black pepper chicken.

The chicken was put on a hotplate, which kept the chicken hot (and a little too hot). The chicken was nice and tender, but the black pepper was a little too much and spicy. Scrap off a little of the sauce and the chicken tastes almost perfect. The soup beside was a vegetable soup, quite normal tasting.

Tampines Central is a fast food heaven and Texas Chicken is one of the newer additions. The chicken was very spicy and I do not recommend dipping chilli to eat. Besides that, the chicken is very crispy and tender on the inside. Frankly speaking, I think the chicken tastes similar to KFC and Popeyes. However, I think the size of the chicken seem smaller. The biscuit is soft and the top is slightly crispy but lacks the buttery taste. The mash potato is not very smooth and the gravy has a very strong pepper taste.
