This is a Marche style kind of restaurant which serves Mediterranean food and is managed by Food Junction. It has a pretty nice ambience and was crowded during dinner time.

The hotplate booth which serves food of Turkish origin immediately caught my attention through the sizzling sound and its the very nice aroma. The beef and lamb are very tender and well-seasoned. The cheesy combination is actually quite unique and certainly delight my taste buds. It costs $10.80.

The mango pudding and tiramisu were very beautifully presented so I decided to give it a try. The mango pudding was very smooth and tender. The pudding certainly disintegrates in your mouth. The pudding is made of milk and egg.

As for the tiramisu, I thought it was not sweet enough initially but as I ate more of it the taste actually got stronger. Personally, I prefer the mango pudding more. Both the dessert cost $3.80.

Jack Daniel's Burger OK Oct 22, 2011
Categories : Fusion | Restaurant

T.G.I.F is popular for its ribs and steak, but I was craving for some megaburger on this occasion. I ordered the Jack Daniel's burger since the Jack Daniel Sirloin taste good.

The burger was huge but I think it is slightly smaller than the one at Swensen. It comes with fries and Jack Daniel's sauce. The fries are big and crispy. The sauce is sweet and it tastes like the sweet sauce of Soon Kueh which is kind of funny when I mentioned it to my friends. On the first few try, the sauce tastes good, but after a while the liking for the sauce is gone.

I was disappointed with the beef patty as it appears to be overcooked for me so it does not taste as succulent and tender. There were onions, lettuce, tomatoes and bacon in the burger. This is a filling lunch but not a fantastic one at least for me.

Spending per head: Approximately $20.80(Lunch)

Mango Pomelo Sago OK Oct 22, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Stall / Kiosk | Desserts and Cakes

This dessert stall serves quite a variety of dessert. It also sells mango pomelo sago which is one of my favourite desserts so decided to see the quality.

I was sceptical of the taste when i saw how it was prepared. The dessert was taken out from the fridge and chipped ice was just added. Upon tasting, it still has the refreshing taste and the serving of mango was pretty generous. Importantly, I think the dessert is not very sweet.

I was there quite late in the night perhaps it was closing hence the preparation was not the standard way.

Cheesy Bite Treats Smile Oct 22, 2011

Judging from the advertisements of Cheesy Bite Treats, it looks delicious so decided to give it a try for dinner. As a lover of Hawaiian pizza, I picked this flavour. The pizza was adorned with cheese sticks and chicken dogs on the side which makes it difficult to cut actually. However, I think it is pretty creative to add cornflakes to the pizza and the combination turns out to be good. If you think the pizza is not cheesy enough, it actually comes with additional nachos cheese. This meal actually turns out to be a very cheesy one which is nice but too much of it actually will make one sick of it. I think the crust of the pizza is good as it is soft so does not work your jaw too much.

One bad thing about the outlet is the cleanliness of the cutlery which was not very clean.

International Buffet Smile Oct 22, 2011

This is a popular buffet place over the weekends and you have to book a few days in advance to get the seats.

I was certainly not disappointed after the meal. We were each served a portion of black chicken tonic soup when we were settled down. There was a great variety of food. The soup over there are fantastic, very thick and the taste is immense especially the black chicken and crocodile soup.

As for the teppanyaki food, I think only the mutton and tou miao is of better standard. The mutton is tender and leaves a good bite. The tou miao is very well fried and seasoned.

There are lots of oysters for oysters lover but I am not really a fan of it. However, I did try one and it was fresh and succulent. There were cheese scallops available and also mussels as well.

The fried durian is pretty addictive and I believe durian lovers will love it. The skin is crispy outside and the durian feeling is quite alot inside.

There are lots of food available so save some space for the cake desserts which are pretty nice too.
