cookies Smile May 12, 2011

After having my nasi lemak in the food court, I decided to have something sweet. The first thing that came to my mind is Cookies. Without a second delay, I proceed to subway to get my cookies. While I was waiting in the queue, I was thinking of what I heard in the radio an hour ago. The DJ said that the person who started subway was a 17 young chap! He started this business with purely only US 1000 dollars. And now I have thanks to this young chap for the delicious cookies.

mixed rice Smile May 12, 2011

This stall does not serves a wide varieties like most mixed rice stall. And yet queue started to form before lunch time. The dishes they have are very simple dish that resemble home cooked food. I loved almost every dish they have especially the lemon fish, fried chicken wing and beancurd with minced pork. Not only that, you can ask to have curry/ black sauce to be drizzle on your rice. Price is a bit steep but I do not mind paying for really good food. All I can say is "simple is nice".

bedok shui guo Smile May 11, 2011

The queue of this stall is never ending. No matter what time you go , there will also be people queuing at this stall. They work in a systematic way, where 1 auntie will scoop the 'cai po' and the other auntie will take out the guo from the metal casing. They are quite efficient , so you do not have to wait too long even if need to queue.
The auntie is really generous with the 'cai po' as you can see from the picture. The 'cai po' does taste oily but it is really fragrance, so I do not mind putting extra weight after eating. Price is reasonable as it cost only SGD1 for 4 pieces of guo. Highly recommended.

Shui kueh Smile May 10, 2011

I was rather put off when I see the amount of "cai po" given was so little. One piece of the kueh was not even covered with "cai po". To my surprise, the kueh is really so smooth and tasty. I simply can eat it without the 'cai po'. With the addtion of 'cai po", it makes it even better. Highly recommended for Shui kueh lover.

Prawn mee Smile May 09, 2011

This is one of my favourite prawn mee stall that I frequent with my family. Something that I look forward about the prawn mee is that the soup base is rich and it does not taste too oily. The prawn are fresh and big , which is also another factor that I look out for when I eat prawn mee. After so many tries, I have not felt thirsty after eating. So I assumed that there is not much MSG added.. probably not at all. Love it.
