Ang Gu Kueh Smile Nov 23, 2011
Categories : Singaporean Chinese

The traditional Ang Gu Kueh comes in red, which symoblise auspicious for the chinese. Other flavours like yam and coconut were added to the family of Ang Gu Kueh, but the one that I like best is still the red Ang Gu Kueh. The texture of the Kueh is tender and thin, fillings are very generously wrapped in the kueh. I love their peanut flavour too as it does not fall off easier when bite, you can even taste the coarse sugar that they blend into the grounded peanut.

mixed rice Smile Jul 15, 2011

Although this stall sells mixed rice at a rather higher price than most mixed rice stalls, you will never fail to see a long queue at this stall. The good thing is that you can packet your rice as early as 10:30am, and avoid all the queue and yet the rice will stay delicious and not soggy when you take it in the afternoon. Some of the dishes that I usually order are the fried chicken wing, lemon fish, tau kua with minced pork.

Char Siew rice Smile Jul 15, 2011

One of my favourite roast pork char siew rice stalls. The char siew is very well marinated with a good mixture of lean and fatty parts. The roast pork has a very crispy skin layer which literally is 'crunchy'. Lastly, I usually like my rice with more sauce and the stall lady is very generous about the sauce. Definitely a must try.

Pizza and Pasta Promotion Smile Jul 15, 2011

Categories : Italian | Pasta | Kids-Friendly

I was introduced to this shop from the radio station. One of the DJs like to go to this restaurant with his wife. It has been a while that I had eaten their pizza and pasta after my last visit with friends. Their food was really delicious and authentic Italian food but it seem they are not so family oriented. I have been their twice and they are always short of baby seats. So my friend ended up carrying his kids while dining.

Recently they came out with a promotion for home delivery and I think that is a good alternative for me. The promotion consist of 1 pizza and 1 pasta OR 2 pizza/pasta at a cost of $38. I ordered their Calzone which is a folded pizza with mozzarella cheese, ham and mushroom topped with tomato sauce. The other item was the Spaghetti Al Forno. Yum Yum!

dark chocolate bread OK Jul 15, 2011

Categories : Café

The cakes from cedele never disappoint me and I always like to order their whole cake to celebrate birthday for aunties and uncles as it was not too sweet so it really suit their taste. This is the first time i eat their bread and I think their bread tastes as healthy as their cake. It does not taste so buttery as compare to other confectionery shop so I feel really guilt free after eating . Worth the try.
