Hazelnut Ice cream OK Jul 15, 2011

Categories : Café | Ice Cream and Gelato

I remember I saw this brand of ice cream when I was at Centre point. They opened a new branch in the mall opposite to centre point. The queue was long at that branch so when I saw this at Holland, I decide to give it a try. I bought a tube of Chocolate Hazelnut to try. The taste was great for the first day but it deterioated after a few days. I think the best to consume this was at the shop where you can even mix other ingredients. To comsume the ice cream by it own was really normal.

steam cake Smile Jul 15, 2011

Categories : Bakery

My little girl used to like this steam cake from breadtalk but I think her taste had changed and she no longer like this. But for me this steam cake still one of my favourite item for for to go with coffee or tea. I like the fuffiness of the cake and it still taste nice on the second day. However I find that most of the bread like the rasin bread which I had bought together with the steam bread became harder on the second day.

wanton mee Smile Jul 15, 2011

This wanton stall is really cool, as they have a sign displaying your queue number . In fact, I think this is really useful as it can give you a rough gauge of the waiting time. The 2 famous wanton stalls are just side by side to each other and yet you can see that each stall has their own supporter. Personally, I like this stall as compare to the other as the wanton taste nicer. The noodle was springy and not soggy , so this is one of my favourite wanton stall.

Fried Noddle  Smile Jul 15, 2011

Hup Lee has several branches all around Singapore, but I feel the key difference is in how the chicken wings is prepared and this varies from stall to stall. I ordered the noodle set that day for $2, and it comes with choice of noodle, one chicken wing and a very thin (it was really paper thin) slice of fried egg. The noodle was not too oily, and together with the chicken wing, which is very well fried and crisp, dipped in the chilli sauce, a nice budget breakfast. smile

Fried beancurd skin Smile Jul 15, 2011

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Hawker Centre | Dim Sum

Was rather disappointed with their prawn dumplings when I ordered it for the first time. So this time, I reminded my hubby not to order the prawn dumpling. I saw this stall in the magazine where one of the singer's recommendation for their fried beancurd, so I decide to give it a try. I waited for a while before it was served , and it was piping hot. I supposed they only steam or fried the items after customers had made their order. The fried beancurd was really cripsy and the filling was fragrance. I totally agreed with the singer's reccommendation.
