Unique bowl of noodle OK May 02, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi | Kids-Friendly

Sakae is a well known, established brand in Singapore known for its japanese food. It has been a long time since I last came here, and i was not surprised to see a few changes in the menu. I tried one of the more unique dish on the menu, Teriyaki Chicken Sumi Udon with Soya Milk Soup.

The noodle reminds me of, the grass jelly with soya milk. Black and white. The soft noodle is colored like charcoal, but taste normal. And i love the soup! Milky soya taste, but not the usual sweet version. Its a salty soya milk soup. Good for anyone who wants a change of the usual noodle!

Not so flaming hot OK May 02, 2013

Categories : American | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

The black pepper flamer is the new released item of McDonalds, and together with it, there is the option of citrus thai shaker fries, and lychee McFizz (which is just sprite with lychee syrup).

The citrus thai shaker fries, i think, just feels like a powder mild form of tom yam soup. Not exactly how i like my fries to be, but should be nice for those fans of tom yam.

I like the bun of the burger! It is softer than that of McSpicy, but that is about it. In terms of taste and spiciness, it still isnt able to rival that of McSpicy.

Double Sinful Max OK Apr 27, 2013
Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

What is it with KFC and all its hero afflicted burger? Tried the double down max today. With its 2 piece of chicken parties, hashbrown, cheese and bacon, I could not help but to wonder if I am having way too much for a meal. Overall, taste can't go wrong since its the same piece of patty that was used for zinger, but the hashbrown was soggy and did not enhance the taste. Most of the time it was covered by the taste of the chicken. Rather be without it.

Spending per head: Approximately $8

Not so nice crepe OK Apr 27, 2013

Out of the pan offers a wide range of crepes, and i went there when there was a one for one promotion.

I had the Chocolate Mania Sweet Crepe, which looks really good, but it was filled with too much banana till it stole the limelight away from the chocolate itself. Unable to really appreciate this dish. And the crepe is way too thick as well.

Service wise was prompt and polite. Nice place to go on a weekend to chill out.

Nice cheap food! OK Apr 27, 2013

One of the better stall that i like in the Science canteen. The western stall offers a wide variety, and their mango chicken salad is so good with their lemon mustard dressing. Their mains, like chicken chop, comes with 3 side dishes, which includes, baked beans, coleslaw, fries, hashbrown, babycarrot/corn. Cheese can be added to fries for just 50cents! Yummy.

The chicken chop is no frill, and the sauce is just right, not too salty.
